"....keeping the date on which he'll sign with the Griz under wraps...."

Yea I didn't love that part. But I am focusing on the rest of what he said. Sounds ready to be a Griz.

Sulser will sign early I am betting. Skyline sports reported: "Sulser said Hauck did not mention the early signing period but that he would be interested in signing his letter of intent early if 'that’s what Coach Hauck wants me to do.'”

Concerned me more the comments from the CB Johnson.

The reason being? Pretty certain with new staff comes new connections and possibly kids they have been recruiting. Just because it was suggested Alex tap the brakes just slightly doesn't mean as of now he still won't end up being a big contributor here. Best to be as honest and upfront with these kids as possible. Tough situation for all of these student athlete hopefuls, the previous few weeks and the next couple of months.

Very likely some surprises in store. Only so many scholarships.

Totally agree and that’s why Green is really good at this. He’s always genuine and upfront with these young men. However, I was too a little surprised considering our depth in the secondary they are holding off in trying to lock him now. However, I’m sure when the new secondary coach and DC get hired they’ll want him. He has good potential.

The reason being it’s our absolute thinnest position. Thought that was pretty obvious. Hauck better land a couple studs if he’s turning away guys like Johnson.

My thoughts exactly AZ. CB's are the position that currently needs the most fixin'.

Agreed....and it had been VERY quiet on any new CB offers from Bobby

Amie is the only reason to read anything in the Missoulian. She’s been outstanding.

Yes I agree especially with the recent departures. That just reaffirmed to me something must be in the making as he seems to be the only one they told to hold off?

I know how this process worked 45 years ago, but like everything else, am assuming it’s changed & perhaps significantly. Do the kids already have a letter/fax/email in their possession outlining attendance terms & support or is there something they get just prior to the actual day?

Given scholarship types & opportunites tailored to each kid, am wondering if Hauck is looking @ the budget, team needs & available potential talent pool & trying to figure out where to spend his capital before anything is finalized? ( argh, this ? is a question mark).

Letter of Intent outlines the conditions of the Scholarship, and is signed by the AD first, I know of at least one that was received by the player 2 days ago.

I've re-evaluate the roster and have changed my mind on biggest area need. Given that our recruits at the DT and CB stay committed, this is what the roster will look like.

DT
49 Jessie Simms RJr
96 David Shaw Sr
99 Reggie Tillman RSr
55 Kyle Davis RSr
98 Esai Longoria RSo
? Lorenzo Brown Fr

CB
7 Dereon Nash RSo
8 Lewis Cowans RSo
23 Josh Egbo RSo
20 Gavin Crow RSo
41 Curtis Holmes RFr
? Alex Johnson Fr

Yes, both positions have six listed but DT has three Sr's and a Jr and the CB's have all six as So's or younger. Plus we have yet to see which WR's get converted into DB's.
