Great Falls Griz BBQ well attended

We had a great turnout at the BBQ yesterday. Others who played golf can report on that...some of us half to work. :thumb: The coaches did a great job as usual. I think everyone was anticipating coach Delaney's remarks and he did not disappoint. He is certainly able to motivate and he seems to be a very genuine guy. We enjoyed talking with him after the event. You can't help but be happy for the opportunity that he has been given and I am totally behind him. I look for huge things out of this staff and the team.

It is a new chapter in Griz football and I can't wait for the ride to begin.

can we get some more information on this next year, I didn't even realize it was going on and would have come for sure.

I only saw it in the paper last week and again this week. I did not hear about it on the radio or tv but that doesn't mean that it wasn't advertised there. It was at the Mansfield center which was a much better venue in my opinion. Lots of good food and a serving line that moved along very well.

47,

Do you mind sharing with the rest of us that live nowhere near GF what coach D had to say publicly? Thanks,

Go Griz!

I don't want to disappoint Ursus but he didn't really say anything that gave insight to current events. He acknowledged 3 freshmen kickers, a young defense and the loss of several great players. He was very humble to have the job. He said that he had worked for Sunny Lubick at MSU and was fired; worked for Sunny at CSU and was fired. Sunny told hm that he was on his own this time. He was very genuine that they were going to work hard and may lean a little more towards the run game since he was a little old school. However, they would still pass a lot as well. He wanted to win the right way and recruit the right kids as all the UM coaches wanted to do.

I did hear from, what I consider to be a good source, that the outcome of the code of conduct hearing on JJ should be released this week. Coach D did not mention the QBs, that I recall, during his speach.

He seemed to be very at ease in his speaking and was outgoing and humerous. During one of the live auctions he offered to let the winning fan call a play on the field. Then he would signal the fan 1 finger for run and 2 for a pass so that the fan would look brilliant to his friends when he predicted the next play.
