Great article on spread offenses with quotes from Stitt

I'd argue that CB and DT is the most difficult to recruit and that there is a smaller pool of kids that can play those positions at the D1 level than other positions. Currently, we just have the benefit of having very good depth and quality at DT that most FCS schools do not enjoy.

However, I would also argue that OL is the most important to recruit and that Delaney didn't put enough focus on recruiting the OL. Consequently, we haven't had the depth and experience on the OL that many of the top contenders last year had. I think that we are working to get there and when we do we will see a more effective offense.

Agreed, especially on the last part. I wish, also, for a Tonga Takai every year...

If you need a scapegoat then that's a great way of looking at it......and wildly irrational.

Here's what is irrational:

With zero evidence...

- Thinking the O-Line will be better than the last 2 years...why?
- Thinking Special Teams play will improve over the last 2 years...why?
- Thinking the Defensive Coordinator put players in positions and schemes that will win...why?
- Thinking QB play will be much improved...why?
- Thinking in-game adjustments will be sound...why?

I'm not looking for a Scapegoat. I'm looking for real progress. If I had to choose a scapegoat...then, yes it would be Stitt. Right behind the asshat Engstrom.

Like many, I'm cautiously optimistic. I love the way the staff has/is recruiting. But, I'm not buying everything being sold on good ole eGriz.com.

You answered your own damned question there, Soldier.

Yeah, I certainly hope so...
