This isn’t sour grapes at all. He was just pointing out a fact; I’m sure most bubcats would agree.

Lets add Z's Meze Market, a Mediterranean restaurant in Bozeman, to the long list of crappy Bubcat-owned business we will never patron.
I've never heard of the place, but next time I'm in town, I'll go. Said nothing that wasn’t true, but OK, not the place for it. But good for him and for his wife to refuse to apologize for the truth. I’d never heard him announce, but I like him.

isn't Z's owned by a guy from Chicago and his Turkish wife? i didn't know they had any affiliation with MSU.
No idea. I’m just going by what the article said:

Martello is a realtor and the CFO of Z's Meze Market, a Mediterranean restaurant in Bozeman that he co-founded. He graduated from the University of Georgia.

The Twitter account @ZsHummus, of Z's Meze Market, defended Martello on Saturday. The owner of the account claimed to be Martello's wife, Zeynep Martello.

It is interesting that teams who have a successful season have the least players wanting to transfer!

Well, he's not wrong. I had to go to Sacramento recently. We stayed in a downtown hotel. The whole area was occupied by homeless folks. Over half of the buildings had boarded windows. I imagine Portland is similar? It was sad really.

well, that solves it. your anecdotal experience of picking a hotel in a crappy area of sacto, combined with your ability to "imagine" what's up in portland certainly proves that what the bobs guy said is 100% correct. way to go!

POTY!!!

Finally, there's already a 2-page thread on this in the basketball forum.
Sorry guess I missed that. I was enjoying my morning cup and this article was the top sports story in today’s paper. :coffee:
What have the cat fans said about it in the b-ball forum? They are oddly quiet and missing around here lately. Like SuckStCat, isn’t he some announcer in Bozo? Love to hear his take. I have been trying to get one of them to respond but it’s all crickets. Like fishing all day on the Gallatin—I was out to be seen and no bites.

You've got to be shitting me! You don't know how to fish!

Thems fightin’ words.
I don’t call it ‘fishing’, I call it ‘catching’.
But I certainly don’t do it like bubcats. You guys are out to be seen with head to toe Simms and custom polarized transitions lenses. You make it more about the gear than dinner, and fret over lead sinkers and the perfect pic. You’re a size 16 bead head on a 1lb tippet.
And I would never waste my time on that billionaire’s sewer you call a river. I like to catch on the real rivers in MT, not the phony ones

I guess I just don't see what was so flicking toxic about what he said. Big deal.

I think it’s because people tend not to like sports and politics to touch. I know people who are still boycotting the NFL for this exact reason who would probably have the complete opposite opinion of this incident simply due the “direction” it came from. I’m not a big fan any politics in sports. I wish sports were still an escape.

But there are instances everywhere you look anymore of sports and politics "touching." I would go as far as to say that sports and politics are presently inseparable. Just look at the back of the NFL teams' helmets in the playoffs and tell me again how people don't want sports and politics "touching."

Some do, without any doubt...

For the record, I am not one of them and agree with your premise.

You don't see it because you agree with him. Just because you share the same opinion as him doesn't make it ok to say something like that on a broadcast, regardless of if it was Antifa, or if it would've Qanon.

So friggin soft...I do happen to agree with him. But, what the Frick happened to sticks and stones...?

People need to toughen up.

I agree with you Soldier. This board is has been infiltrated by a bunch of pansy-assed snowflakes. Notice how they all gang-up in unison to cancel any poster who dares disagree with the senseless drivel they post here on a daily basis. They have turned egriz into a social media site, and 95% of their posts are to stroke each other off, instead of having anything to do with athletics. They try so hard to be accepted by the other knuckleheads to be "one-of-the-group, and to appease their insecurities. Bunch of soccer-playing non-athletes. Should be obvious why none of the good football posters are on here any more.

Oh, and by the way, argie, I have been to downtown Portland recently, and Soldier is spot on.

Hell yeah! I caught the Frenchtown pond before and will again. It’s great.
See, that’s what phonies like you will never understand. It’s not about being seen or heard at some hip spot. In fact, I try hard not to be seen when I am out. Complete opposite of you.

Totally. I was just trying to point out there are those who love politics in sports, as long as they agree. Those same people hate it if they disagree. They love the helmets and hate the Bobcat announcer’s comments, or vice versa. No in between. Politics has actually become a sport for those people.
