I've never heard of the place, but next time I'm in town, I'll go. Said nothing that wasn’t true, but OK, not the place for it. But good for him and for his wife to refuse to apologize for the truth. I’d never heard him announce, but I like him.

Well, he's not wrong. I had to go to Sacramento recently. We stayed in a downtown hotel. The whole area was occupied by homeless folks. Over half of the buildings had boarded windows. I imagine Portland is similar? It was sad really.

well, that solves it. your anecdotal experience of picking a hotel in a crappy area of sacto, combined with your ability to "imagine" what's up in portland certainly proves that what the bobs guy said is 100% correct. way to go!

I think it’s because people tend not to like sports and politics to touch. I know people who are still boycotting the NFL for this exact reason who would probably have the complete opposite opinion of this incident simply due the “direction” it came from. I’m not a big fan any politics in sports. I wish sports were still an escape.

But there are instances everywhere you look anymore of sports and politics "touching." I would go as far as to say that sports and politics are presently inseparable. Just look at the back of the NFL teams' helmets in the playoffs and tell me again how people don't want sports and politics "touching."

I agree with you Soldier. This board is has been infiltrated by a bunch of pansy-assed snowflakes. Notice how they all gang-up in unison to cancel any poster who dares disagree with the senseless drivel they post here on a daily basis. Totally. I was just trying to point out there are those who love politics in sports, as long as they agree. Those same people hate it if they disagree. They love the helmets and hate the Bobcat announcer’s comments, or vice versa. No in between. Politics has actually become a sport for those people.
