Good Win, But ...

I sang the olines praises all day in the game thread. The stats don’t even show how dominant they were today. UM Oline won the day BIGTIME. Play calling toward the end of the game should have reflected that and given them more opportunities to lean on South Dakota IMO….

They played well...against a very mediocre FCS d-line which has been dominated 2 weeks in a row.

Jury IS still out. But, they did what they should have done today for sure

So, the o-line went from C+ to playing well, in one week. That's an amazing improvement. And, you can't even give the o-line its full credit, because you have to say the SD d-line was mediocre (just to try to save face from the stupid stuff you said after the last game).

In the first half, the Griz running backs gained 50 yard, on 14 carries, I think. About 3.6 yards per carry by rb’s.

In first drive for TD, rb’s gained minus 2 yards. Minus 3 in drive two. 31 in third drive for TD. 20 in next drive. 8 in next drive. 4 in last drive of half.

The first half offense was mainly Lucas throwing and running, and the o-line.

For the game, the running backs were 25-113, or 4.5 per carry. Johnson was 13-75. 5.8 per carry. I included Bergen’s carry. I didn’t back out the minus 17 of team “carries”.

These are just stats. I was curious as to how much of the first half was mainly Lucas.

If the line was so dominant why don't you run right at them when first and goal from the 2....or 4th and a foot? Seems odd playcalls if the coaches truly thought they were dominating......either were not confident in them dominating, or bad play calling. Can't have it both ways. The "point scoring" special teams stinks....in just two games, blocks, misses and a stupid gimmick 2pt play fail. Defense is stellar but once again Robby shows his liability in pass defense mode (lucky it didn't burn them bigtime as others pointed out), but since he never comes out of the game we will never get to see the others get shots at the position, nor get any experience for younger kids that will need to play next year.

Controlling the line of scrimmage is not the same as dominating it. Controlling includes pass-blocking. The coaches had considerable respect for SD's d-line coming into the game. Whether the respect turned out to be deserved or not, I don't know. I noticed the Griz didn't try to run the ball up for the middle earlier at the game. Pretty much not until later in the 2d quarter. The UM o-line is very athletic and fairly mobile, but I'm not sure it's dominant.

I’m with you I want some Smash Mouth football. Line up under the damn Center, get out of the damn shotgun, on these fourth and ones and run it right up the gosh damn middle.

Please stop... following me around e-griz. It's creepy.

The SD d-line was dominated 2 weeks in a row.. against the Griz 1s and the K-state 2s and 3s for the majority of the game. They are mediocre.

Get back to you niche of defending coke dealers and hair pullers. Football is no longer in your wheel house. Few on here even read your posts because they are nonsense.

...then the playoffs...mediocre is the correct description.

The SD d-line was not mediocre. Could you keep your crap out of substantive spreads?

You are a friggin stalker...stop following me around here.. I know you are trying to learn, but sheesh.

KS didn't play its nos. 2 and 3 for the majority of the game. The starting qb was in until the last drive of the third quarter. The coach isn't get to play his starting qb behind nos. 2 and 3 o-lines. Jeez, stop of your total BS, made up stuff, and lack of knowledge of the game.

Clueless as usual...

K-state played 68 players in that game. Subs started in the 2nd qtr. You have no clue. Dumbest poster on the board by a mile.

Everything of importance I have posted in the last week has been right. Not so much for you. Most of what you posted was wrong. And you have become a big baby when you mistakes are pointed out.

Try staying out of the substantive threads, so you don't run the risk of getting clobbered. The o-line is C+. That is beyond stupid. Hauck didn't say what he said. That is also beyond stupid.

Speaking of beyond stupid, how is your coke dealing, hair pulling boyfriend?

Everything I have posted reference the Griz O-line has been spot-on balls accurate. 100 percent correct. You are a has-been...game has passed you by. Sad and embarrassing really. Get back to your niche.

O-line is C+? Haha. Everything you say is dead wrong.

I get my info from coaches, former players, parents and players. I don't have to keep up with the game, even though I have. You never played the game and don't understand it. No one will listen to your views on the Griz. You have been exposed.

Good Lord...please seek help. For the love of all things egriz...seek help now. You are embarrassing us on our way to Frisco. Every post you make is complete jibberish. There has never been a worse poster on this site. Get back to defending your coke dealing boyfriend...he needs help as well.

They were favored by 10.5 so covered the spread by a score which is good. Defense is possibly as good as a Griz D as I’ve ever seen. Hard to believe the Griz D would be even better than last year but it looks like it is. The Griz O needs to get a few things ironed out. Too many vanilla 3 and outs. Maybe they don’t want to show too much, yet, but that strategy has them looking stagnant often times.

10.5 seemed like a very low spread to me.

Vegas had it at 13.5

Right. Cause that worked so well when Phen Phen was as actually a coordinator here.

I talked to Jason Washington downtown today. He lives in CA and is still in the marijuana business. Says business is good. He was in MT for work.

Any chance he's in the market for hotdogs? I know a good hotdog guy.

“In this week’s episode of Real Househusbands of Griz Nation, Soldier and Hoops Fan go head to head over how good our O-line is playing.”

Does anybody else think these are just a couple of egriz admins ghost-writing to drive up clicks? 🤔
