Sales are brisk but plenty of good seats still remain for this Saturday’s 2007 Big Sky Conference
Men’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinal game, which features the No. 3-seeded and host University of
Montana Grizzlies and the No. 6 seed Idaho State Bengals. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. in UM’s
Dahlberg Arena on the UM campus.
The winner of the game advances to the tournament semi-finals, which are next week on
Tuesday-Wednesday, March 6-7 in Ogden, Utah, as the event is hosted by the league’s regular-season
winner, Weber State. If the third-seeded Griz win they will play second-seeded Northern Arizona at 5:05
p.m. on Tuesday (March 6) in WSU’s Dee Events Center.
The tournament winner automatically qualifies for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball
Tournament. Montana has been the Big Sky tourney champion the past two seasons. Two seasons ago
the Griz lost 88-77 to the Washington Huskies, while last season UM beat Nevada 87-79 in a first round
game, and then lost 69-56 to Boston College for the right to advance to the “Sweet 16.”
It will be the final home game for four Griz seniors: Mike Chavez (Heart Butte and Browning),
Matt Dlouhy (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho), Bryan Ellis (Detroit), and Stuart Mayes (Elkhart, Ind.).
Ticket prices for the Big Sky quarterfinals:
--$15, $13, and $11 for Reserved Seating
--$7 General Admission
–$5 12 & Under (GA) and UM Students
–$40 Courtside Seating
Season ticket holders have until 1:00 p.m. on game day (Saturday, March 3) to claim their regular
seats. After 1:00 p.m. season tickets not claimed will be released to the general public starting at 3:00
p.m.
Non-season ticket holders may purchase tickets at the Adams Center Box Office or at Griz Tix
locations.
Tickets will be sold from 10 a.m. to tip-off at the Adams Center. They may be purchased by
calling the Adams Center Box Office at 243-4051 OR 888-MONTANA, OR on line at griztix.com.
Griz fans attending the Big Sky’s quarterfinal contest are encouraged to purchase their tickets in
