Good Season and Thanks!

Hey. I just wanted to say congrats on a good season. I understand why you guys might be down , but I think Montana had a good season and showed a lot of potential for the future. Bon Stitt brought in an entirely new system into your program with players who were not recruited to run it. Take away the string of injuries that hit you, the Griz likely win the Big Sky, are seeded at home , and make a run to at least the semis. Montana flat out embarrassed NDSU's defense on the home opener, kicked the shit out of EWU, crushed Montana State and beat an SDSU team who could have won it all this year. Several really nice wins.

Don't kid yourself. Montana will be a title contender for the foreseeable future. You guys have one of , if not the biggest fan bases in the FCS and a tradition of winning. You also have a head coach with tons of potential and quite a few young players who were key contributors on your football team.

I also wanted to say thank you for being good fans these last two years for the three games between our programs. It is a shame that we don't play more. I could do that kickoff game every single year as it gives each program a look at where they stack up against another powerhouse FCS program. I also wouldn't mind making it to Missoula more often, although I already have two weeks planned of fishing for this summer up there ;) .

Hope all of you have a happy holiday season, good luck on finals for those of you who are students and best of luck next year!

Thanks, classy comments. Personally I haven't read one other post except this one. Keep it all in perspective because it was a good season for a first year coach etc. We will be better. I sure hope we line up some home and homes games again soon, my favorite game this year was the opener against NDSU. Good luck in the rest of the playoffs.

It's been great having a rivalry to our proximate east again. We have been missing that for about 30 years.

;)

It was really cool to get the opportunity to see the Grizzlies play the Bizon twice in one season. Atleast the program now sees where it needs to be. I never saw that buzz saw coming but wasn't really surprised when it happened. Your dome, fans, AND team really make it tough to win their. I'm certain our paths will cross again so savor the flavor it might be different next time :thumb: Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks 11. Congratulations to the NDSU players and coaches and fans on the victory.

Best thing Griz can learn is how to better deal with NCAA violating scumbags; anyone who thinks differently is naive or politically correct.

Are you SURE you're not a Griz fan? You're more optimistic than 90% of the jokers posting on this site...

Can you be more specific Mr. Trump?

Thanks 2011 for the most positive post of the day. I needed it after that loss and all the Negative Nansies reactions. Your team is extremely talented and well coached, always. Good luck on the rest of your season.
I must also eat my words and commend the MVC on your overall quality of play against the BSC.

Congrats on the win, thanks for the good words.
Hard to imagine opponent that can bring so much to field of play than your Bison.

Looks likely like one for the thumb for ndsu. For the rest of us, back to the drawing board!

Wrote this in the GDT, but it apparently got missed. Threads seem to get buried pretty quickly around here when anyone with a unique thought feels they should start a new thread.

Congrats to the Griz on a great season. Gotta say as a Bison fan that I had a great time out in Missoula in August in spite of my team losing, certainly enjoyed interacting with your fans and the atmosphere was electric. For those of you that made it to the game today, how would you say that atmosphere compared to WaGriz?

Definitely glad the Bison got another shot at the Griz today, and this time on our turf. I've read quite a bit of this thread and it seems every one is coming down pretty hard on Gus. But frankly, that kid was under duress all day long, and you couldn't get the run game going at all. The Bison made the Griz pretty one dimensional and that isn't a good position to be in. I've seen some mention of the trenches, that's where this game was won or lost. I think some sort of adjustment was made in the 3rd quarter when you guys put that drive together and made it look pretty easy. Were the Bison not blitzing or did you have someone other than Nguyen back there helping block for Gus? Credit to your defense, I think they did pretty well against our offense today. Pretty hard to keep playing inspired football when the scoreboard keeps showing 6 points late in the game.

Not here to gloat or troll like that other Bison "fan" on here, just wanted to offer congratulations on a good season, thanks for a great opening game, and keep your heads up...you are Montana and I have a ton of respect for your program.

Good showing by your fans in the dome today, they made noise early, and gave a nice salute to your team and seniors on their way out.
