Box, I know alot more than you do, including what the Athletic Code of Conduct says and what generally occurred at the house that evening.

So you are making no assumptions....zero...

by the way, I did not once post that I was in the know on this event...not once...

When I make assumptions, I usually state that. I didn't say you were in the know; I just said I knew more than you did.

Well since I said that I was not in the know...

So did you use "assume" or do you know everything that happened and the reasoning behind every decision that was made in this case?

It's all there in my posts on this subject on egriz. Feel free to read them. I am not going to summarize my posts for anyone, let alone you. You just want to pick, challenge, and be stupid. That seems to be your role on egriz.

So let me get this straight...the broad Tier III statement "suspension from team activities" does not include games because the more specific Tier II statement "suspension from scheduled contests" take precedent? So "suspension from team activities" does not mean "all" just the "selected" activities?

Funny, it just seems to me that "suspension from team activities" gives more leeway for Tier III punishment but would not discount the possibility of a game while the "suspension from scheduled contests" pretty much makes it a standard for Tier II punishment...

Correct, "team activities" does not include "games". Team activities does not include "practice activities" either. Team activities, practice activities, and games/contests are separate categories of possible punishment. Don't know why its so hard for some of you to understand that. Have you ever heard someone ask a player whether he's suiting up for the team activity involving the Saturday game?
So just what the f does team activities include , if it doesn't include practice , and games? Team activities would include all activities and left to the discretion of the disciplinarian .

Oh, we understand all right.

When rule-writers (lawyers, presumably) decide to narrowly re-define ordinary terms in the English language in ways that do not make ordinary common sense ... well, we get the picture. They are either illiterate, or deliberately trying to confuse the issue so that "outsiders" -- those not "in the know" -- can be kept in their place. (One guess as to which is likely in this case.) "Activity" is (normally) an all-encompassing term for any and all forms of "doing something." The word "team" refers to a group of people assembled for a specific purpose/activity. So the phrase "team activity" -- in ordinary, common usage -- would normally refer to any and all things that that team might be called upon to do. But, by the lawyerese usage, "practice" and "contests" do not involve the team. Hmmm.

So if we eliminate games and practice, "team activities" must be ... signing autographs at the mall, visiting patients at the hospital, perhaps talking to recruits (when that's allowed), and that sort of thing. Unless it also includes taking a communal crap, why not just say these are "public outreach" events (or whatever)? I know, that would be telling. ;)

Team activities include meetings, video sessions, and things like the Great Griz Encounter. Lifting is probably considered a team activity. It's pretty clear that people like you and Idaho have never played the game. Let me know if I need to explain to you what a team meeting or video session is.

what it really comes down to, to the player that is.........he will not be playing in the best game he could be playing in, this season. here was a chance for him to play NDSU at home, in front of his crowd, knowing how EVERYONE is feeling about this game in that moment..........i would hate to miss this game, if i were a starter, somewhat embarrassing to be standing on the sidelines.

You know, I try to ignore your, all-too-common, gratuitous insults, but ... "get over yourself." If you only count being on a college football team as "playing the game", then you're right, I did not. But I was part of a football team, got coached by real coaches, and "played the game." (O/D end on 6- and then 8-man, plus kicker.) My post about the "team activities" terminology had to do with what appears to be deliberate obfuscation by the "powers that be" in defining "activities" in a way that is confusing to ordinary people (fans or not) ... and technically inaccurate. (Let me know if I need to explain what "obfuscation" means.)

So when I go to griz games , practices and scrimmages I consider that an individual activity , not a team activity ? I always thought those were team activities , I love how lawyers can spin anything to there way of thinking !

This is as bad as I've ever seen PR. I've seen him close to this idiotic but I'm sure he was baiting people. This appears to be real posting. This POS owes me $100 and I get to pick his avatar for a year.

This could open up a whole new round of betting here.

Which nobody would honor.

But I like the sound of it.

Good grief. Wish you were still a Bobcat fan. But apparently they don't want you either.

I am wondering how effective a player would be in a game if their punishment for a Tier III infraction was a ban from video sessions and team meetings...probably not a big deal since a game is not a "team activity"

Don't forget the team meal, nobody wants to miss that.

This example of your poor reading, reasoning and thinking is the reason you're stuck in the middle class and will be there, or below, forever. I love how dummies like to blame things on lawyers.

Hey PR, I have a news flash for you. Despite your beliefs, some people actually WANT to be in the middle class or below, and in fact CHOOSE that option over being in the "Upper Class". I know a bunch of awesome people that would be considered "Upper Class". I also know some complete douchebags that are upper class, that like to flaunt their money and pretend like they're somehow better people because they have money. 99% of the population absolutely Fuhghing HATES these types of people because of their elitist attitude.

Tents are for elitists.

True occupiers sleep on the ground wrapped in napkins they picked up at Starbucks when they buy their soy lattes. :ugeek:
