Good game Lady Techsters and fans

Now go out and romp on the rest of the field!! I'm still a little irked right now(I'll get over it in a day or two :-? ). That foul in the closing minutes on the three point attempt was, from what I saw, a block. Arguable, yes. But it forced our Lady Griz to go for a desperation three in the final seconds. Something they wouldnt otherwise have had to do if the correct call had been made earlier. Of course there other calls that could also be argued either way. It's those that come in the crunch that are much more crucial.

On that note.... CONGRATULATIONS!! This was a great game. Sad that somebody had to lose.

When the game started I was thinking, "oh boy... here we go" La Tech is VERY physical and fast. Also they've got some amazing pure shooters. But we hung in there.

Refs were questionable at best, but that's part of the game.

WTG ladies, you almost beat the #5 team in the nation! Sigh...stings a little to loose a game that close.

On balance, I don't think the Lady Griz can complain about the calls. There were plenty questionable calls that went both ways. I don't know how Demming picked up her third foul when she had her back to the La Tech player. If anything, the La Tech player went over her back. The push that wasn't called on Brooklyn's turnover was ridiculous.

If anything, I think these refs can be criticised for not knowing how to call a championship caliber game. You don't call a foul on a three with 1:30 left in a one point game unless it's obvious. They didn't show a replay but that was ticky tack.

IMO, La Tech will look better against Texas Tech than they looked tonight. I was surprised by the Lady Griz ability to baffle La Tech at times with their defense. Robin was able to figure out a way for the Lady Griz to compete well on offense too. Holly Tyler needed to have a better game. She missed some easy ones. Don't underestimate Texas Tech though. They're still a pretty good team.

You know, for much of this game, the Lady GRIZ played well enough to stay with any team in the country! Congratulations on a great season and NCAA game! Tough luck drawing a #5 seed that should have been at worst a # 3 seed. Also, the last time I looked, the Lady GRIZ RPI was around 36. They should have been no worse than a # 10. I hope the NCCA didn't factor in the Lady GRIZ homecourt advantage in deciding the seeds. If they did, there is something wrong with that process.

Deming backed into the other player, actually underneath the other player. You have give the other player some room to come down.

I'm still hoarse from screaming throughout the game. This proves that the Lady Griz can compete with some of the better teams in the country. Both teams played hard with foul calls questionable on both sides. Thought for awhile that an upset was inthe making.
The Teaxas/Main game was not near as exciting. would have loved to seenthe Ladies play both teams late in the season. I suspect that they might have beat both teams. I believe that unless Texas really ups their game LaTech will walk allover them. At least Latech knew they were in a battle royal tonight.

I am TRULY impressed with the Lady Griz! WOW! WHAT A GAME! Your team brought it on and stunned us. I admit that I didn't think you could keep up with our speed, but you knew just what to do.

A 12 SEED? Give me a break! Great game and great atmosphere. I know that this was a heart breaker for your team and fans. Someone had to lose. If you had been placed correctly, it would have been the Griz.

I hope some of your crowd come to cheer us on against Texas Tech.

Good luck against Texas Tech. Texas Techs' defense is going to be quite good, plus they are more athletic than the Lady Griz. Thus, LA tech will have to match it's athletic ability against Texas Tech's athletic ability. It could be another interesting game. I thought La Tech's athletic ability was better than Texas Tech, though.

But still, if the Lady Griz won, I was thinking, Lady Griz would still be able to keep up with them and have a good chance to win. Bummer.

early prediction. LaTech by 10. I'd say 20 but I think the Lady Griz took a lot out of the Techsters.

I'm so proud of the Lady Griz!! Next year we should be back.
