The O-Line is still horrible! Big guys that can't move are just speed bumps. Germer is to blame still!

Probably because we still have a ton of injuries and the goal is to get the game over as quickly as possible so nobody else goes down.mtgrizrule said:Adding something here, questionable.
Why not let the backup QB's run the offense? They need the experience and reps. Even more so, with an inconsistent OL.
That's not taking advantage of opportunities

I don't really find that questionable. I think getting Cam back and comfortable was the most important thing in this game as it won't get any easier from here on out. I do feel he could have come out sooner than he did, but I don't believe they squandered the opportunity. We need chemistry on this offense more than ever. The receiving corps played great, and it was worth it to see Sammy get things going again. A healthier version of our offense needs to makeup for the missed growth opportunities from the previous 4 games if we want to compete against that team down the road or into the playoffs.
Ugly- Definitely the line play. Chalk up today to having two starters out, but this is nothing new when looking back. Now that the system is back to operating more efficiently with Cam, I would love to see the play calling open up to help keep pressure off of Cam and the line, quick slant/outs, some semblance of a quick screen game. Get the line moving in the pass game as they do the run game. Throw in some counter motion rollouts/bootlegs and get Cam some space so he's not a sitting duck in the pocket. We've seen this with what Sneed was able to do 2 years ago. It forces teams to sit back and worry more about contain. To this point the it is underutilized and the pocket is clearly not holding up and teams are charging up field because they have no reason not to.

I guess, it depends on philosophy. I just believe in the importance of building and strengthening depth. Having your back up qbs just hand it off, isn't doing that. As for Cam, you're 100% on point.
