When it’s all said and done, he should be BSC DPOY.

He does not come out of the game. Does not. And so rarely misses or misreads. All those reverses and counters that we take for granted, Braxton is there, like the reverse at Idaho.

I am remodeling my Mount Rushmore of Linebacker-U.

Our linebacking is phenomenal. But stats aside, a case for Gubner could easily be made.
Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Gubs, but you can’t put “stats aside” for the DPOY award.
It is based on stats and Braxton packs the score card each game with more than just snaps and tackles. He’s getting fumbles, picks, TDs, sacks, and TFLs.

And ironically, the reason he packs the score card is because Gub eats up blocks like Godzilla.

There are plays that rely on the both the QB and receivers to see the same things for the play to be run effectively. As noted above, it appeared they weren't on the same page. The fact that his first interception ended a drive on inside the fifteen yard line tells you he's done a hell of a lot right - most importantly, winning.

Exactly. As interceptions go, that's as harmless as they get.
How do you figure? It was in the red zone and cost us points.

Could have stretched the lead to three scores at a Pivotal point in the game. It did cost us points, but it didn’t lead to any points on their end.

I'm a girl who never played the game and I understand more football strategy than you? Seems like it. Lol. (Don't come at me, I'm just joking around.)

Seriously though, there's a myriad of worse things that could happen on an interception than this. It didn't result in any points for the other team. Our quarterback wasn't getting pummeled on the pass which resulted in an injury to him. It wasn't a huge swing in momentum that ultimately cost us the game. The defense went out and shut Sac down and we got the ball right back.

Therefore, it was a harmless interception. Bobby has said in interviews that he doesn't worry about an interception here and there because they happen when you pass the ball. If we had to punt the ball from deep in our own end zone and we downed it inside their 15 wouldn't you consider that a success? An interception deep in their own end zone is the same as a punt in my book. No harm no foul.

Gubs is the man. Every play that guy wrecks havoc.

No, not really. I hear what you’re trying to say, but you’re taking it too far. The reason Braxton is so awesome is because he’s awesome. Period. And he would be awesome on any team.

Extremely Good: Having a bunch of recruits and their families at this magnificent beatdown and the opportunity for them to experience Wa-Griz in all its splendor. Nothing like it in all of FCS and probably 75% of FBS. Love the night games. :thumb:

Spoiled, entitled fan rant coming: I'll tell you what's ugly...the pregame activities. I used to love getting into the stadium early for all of it, now, if I hear the "cowboy" song one more time that Monte "dances" around to, I might just jump off the top railing in the NEZ. Good lord, where's the creativity gone? Monte coming out of the northwest tunnel is about as exciting as watching paint dry these days. Don't get me wrong, I love the inflatable helmet, smoke and fireworks as the Griz run out of the tunnel. That will never get old to me, but the rest is boring as hell anymore. I used to wonder what opposing team's fans thought of our pregame, now I just wonder if they're awake. Spoiled, entitled fan rant over.

Speaking of Monte, and more specifically, Barry Anderson...if he's not in the Griz Hall of Fame, he should be.

That's pretty sweet. As far as songs go, I've always been a fan of Motley Crue's "Dr. Feelgood" (yes dating myself a bit), but it has a great opening and kind of builds a bit like Enter Sandman.

Or Thunderstruck by AC/DC

I miss the skydivers. Sign a waiver and pray there isn't a gust. As a kid watching the griz, this was always a highlight.

100%. That was freaking awesome! I do understand the issue with the lights now, but that was most definitely a highlight.

Totally agree. I've never thought he was a great "passer", but he was great in this game. Made good decisions, put the ball right where it needed to be, and save for one miscommunication, threw it away when he had to. If I have one criticism of him, it's this...please stop trying to hurdle people! I love the passion and fire, but we really need him to stay healthy!

So can Walker play first half next week after his unsportsmanlike ejection? Or does he have to sit like a targeting ejection?
