Good Bad Ugly - Oregon

Ugly - only 8 yards rushing total! That needs to get better.

True and probably the biggest Achilles heel of the team right now. Still, last week was an improvement in the running game and we just played Oregon. Bigger, faster, stronger. They did a decent job in pass protection given the opponent. Oregon is the #15 team in the country and fast. I did not expect much more than the Griz got. Last weeks opponent got annihilated by Oregon.

While walking out, a couple of fans admired us for playing hard throughout the game....said UNLV just rolled over & laid down. But, a loss doesn’t have any wins in it, IMHO. That’s Bobkittie talk.

Kind of tough to believe, they didn't play unlv last week it was Nevada they played. Nice try.

Hauck had commented last week about Oregon having the enough speed at every position to correct mistakes on mid play. That seemed to be the case on defense where things closed up quickly. It was sure the case for Sneed who had little to show for his scrambling efforts.

I don't think the Griz will see another defense as fast as Oregon's, but top FCS team with good defensive speed could present problems Montana can't scramble out of.

Good - Oregon fans were extremely nice and not the idiots I dealt with on my last trip to Autzen. Griz were stout in the middle. Oregon usually dines on A and B gap runs. Our DL stuffed them. Kicking game was effective. Dante Olsen was termed “legit” by the Ducks fan around me. The guys played hard for 60 minutes. As loses go, 35-3 in Autzen is about as respectable as we could hope for.

Bad - Offense couldn’t keep Oregon’s offense off the field and given enough time the Duck’s O was going to score. A couple of calls went against the Griz which could have made a big difference in the moment.

Ugly - the worst fan I saw was a former Griz player (played last year) who was completely disrespectful and mouthy to Duck fans leaving in the 4th quarter. He was yelling insults at them as they left. Incredibly rude and embarrassing to those of use wearing maroon sitting around him.
