Because of the unsportsmanlike penalty on us after their second TD, they kicked off from the 50. When the ball went out of bounds, we were told we would get the ball at the 20 (30 yards from the spot of the kick), which is not an advantageous spot for Bobby, so he made them rekick after a 5-yard penalty. They just kicked it out again, because then we would get it at the 25, which Bobby then basically said, "we can do this all day", and made them kickoff again. Kind of a weird back and forth gamesmanship battle between Hauck and Phenecie there. The officials did everything right.
Thanks for the explanation. I actually figured it out, when I watched the game from DVR. While at the game, I was pretty confused. Never seen anything like that, at any level.
