Good, Bad, Ugly - FTC

Bad: Griz cheerleaders trying to start the MONTANA<------>GRIZZLIES cheer in the stadium while the Griz offense was on the field... multiple times.

Down right atrocious: the bubcatz’s tackling.

Seriously, when they are doing their “double repping” do they even practice tackling?

You could tell early on they did not like to hit. More like paddy-cake.

They would probably be a great flag football team but I just don’t think tackle football is for them

Honest question here: Would YOU want to tackle Gillman, Ostmo or McDowell if they had a full head of steam coming at you? And when you try to tackle Bergen or Fontes, you end up whiffing at air…

Bergen's reception and the moves he made at the 5yd line to get the touchdown was epic.

Great - Alex Gubner. While I thought for sure they would move him to corner when he picked off four during his freshman season, thank goodness he was available to anchor the line. Yesterday, it took two guys to get a block on him, and when the f&*ked up and tried to block him with one, he made them pay. It's likely going to be a while before we see his likes again.

The linebackers and safeties on this team are special, stars by design. To a man, I would say they tell you they get to be those guys because of Gubs and his linemates.

Good: The pass that McDowell literally threaded between the hands of a Cat defender, right to Fontes on the sideline.

Well, given the amount of time the Griz offense was on the field, it didn’t leave much time to do it…

Great: The catch he made and still got the foot down.

True, but the Griz were so dominant yesterday it was the only bad or ugly thing I could come up with!

And while he was on the run, too (McDowell)…thing of beauty.

My friends and I honestly thought the pass was intercepted, until they showed a replay. Truly a thing of beauty.

…the goodest of the day…
…monte body slamming the table…
…the cats were faaked from that point on…

8-)

I think you have to pass to play flag football, so no they wouldn't be a good flag team. ;)

Ok, I think we’re conflating two passes…the one where he threaded the needle was actually to Drew Deck not Fontes, and he was NOT on the run on that one…

The play where Cliff is on the run to his right and throws a dart to Bergen in the 3rd Quarter was very good!
Bergen had a defender draped over his backside and Cliff throws a perfecto.
