Good Bad Ugly - Central Wash

Good:
- the run game was dominant. Gillman looks like a Payton award winner early on going for 198 on 15 carries avg 13.2 per carry and 3 TDs. Rocker was awesome too with 72 yds on only 5 carries for 14.4 ypc
- Wortham was electric in so many ways, and good job to coaches for figuring out how to use him. He had 240 all purpose yards and did great stuff as receiver, wildcat qb, and return man
- Ah Yat made some great throws on the run and under pressure. Threw for 250 and 2 TDs. Averaged 10 yards per pass
- Deck is dangerous as a return man as well and had an awesome punt return (I didn’t see much of a penalty there)
- Bohannan is going to be our next Racanelli and will be a reliable receiver
- Morrison was great on kickoff and his 1 punt was a beauty at 51 yards
- Loud was awesome at corner
- good to see the D get 3 turnovers
- fantastic 2nd half adjustments that shut down CWU offense almost completely
- Otlewski had 3 TFL

Bad:
- can’t throw 2 picks including one down near goal line (why the hell are we throwing there anyways when running 13 ypc)
- missed tackles and gave up too many rushing yards in first half
- too many penalties (granted some were bad calls)

Ugly:
- taking a half to get going. Can’t do that against UND next week

Feel free to add!

Good-I don’t like the modern college football landscape with transfers and complete roster turnovers, but if it has to happen then I hope we get studs. From my seat, I saw a lot of football studs I didn’t recognize but they impressed. The Montana boys and guys who have stayed also looked good. It looks a lot more solid than the way it has looked for the last couple of years. What a treat to get to play ND next week. We are fresh, the crowd will be loud and our 2025 team could potentially solidify for the rest of the season. It could be a run like the one I remember in 1995 (just with a bunch of transers-lol)

Bad- I didn’t think this could happen, but our stadium hoopla has gotten stale. It was a good idea to try the Monte man lift entrance, but I swear there is so much opportunity to generate more electricity using music and a little more production. If anyone can point me to the music coordinator, please let me know. I need Welcome to the Jungle to get fixed. They use a secondary music generator for it and the sound level falls off. If anything, mix it louder than the baseline sound level.

Ugly- this is a hot take and I’m sure it will trigger… but our uni’s are one step away from being as gross as MSU’s. With the Nike collab, we should be a gold standard and we are blasé. Im not saying we need to spend millions switching our kit each game like we have in the past, but give me something with a little more memorable-factor.

I think the slow start had to do with the fact that CW already had a solid game under their belts and this was the first game for the Griz. The second half was a completely different game.

Good-rotated a lot of guys, run game, Cutler, DBs look as good as a group as I can remember, 37 shined on special teams and D, Wortham🥶, Gilman, Morrison is a beast punting and kicking. Time will tell, but the transfers look 100xs better than last year.

Bad- stupid play call in the red zone, Ah yat forcing a few passes, dropped passes, penalties, tackling in the first half

Ugly- ESPN+ is garbage this year, lopsided refs, white out on a “BlAcK OuT” game.

Good Eli Gillman, Jordan Tripp in the booth and our offensive line

Bad slow start especially defensively

Ugly wearing white uniforms at “blackout”, missed tackles and turnovers leaving 21 points on the board.

We are probably the 2nd or 3rd best team in FCS right now and no one will see us coming.
SKATs are going to lose their minds when they end with 5 loses this year, Vigen may be gone.
1st part of your post is very possible.
I hope u r right on the Cats. I'm guessing they'll be playoff bound and still contender for the conference championship.

I liked the team's uni's.

Great: Special teams. Bobby is simply one of the best in the entire country at any level at coaching it.

Bad: the long sideline interview with some dude no one has heard of causing us to miss 6 plays of the game.

Brutal : the bub's and sdsu's special teams.

Putrid: the officiating in this effing conference and the fact we're still in it.
