Good Bad Ugly - Cal Poly

Good - first Griz win in San Louis Obispo since 2008! Finally have that monkey off our back!

Bad - defense giving up 412 rushing yards.

Ugly - eleven sports production crew. All time worst production I’ve ever seen.

Well NDSU gave up 458 rushing yards to Cal Poly, so I’d say 412 is a pretty good day. :thumb:

Don’t know where you got that stat, but it’s wrong, by a lot. Cal poly had 82 yards on 52 carries vs NDSU.

Uh, yeah. That 458 was what NDSU gained rushing. The Bison stuffed the CP triple option, holding them to just 85 yards. The 'Stangs had three guys who ended up with negative rushing yards. Did not see this game, but my take is that NDSU just physically overpowered CP.

Yeah, I watched that game, and it wasn’t even as close as the score indicated. NDSU could basically score at will vs CP. easily could have been worse than the 49-3 ass whooping it was.

Bad: Reffing. They need to go back to class and learn what holding is, FFS.

Yeah, receiver was grabbing shoulder pads all day long.

I’m I to guess that as long as your hands are inside the shoulders you can hold all you want?

I don't know if it's already been mentioned but UNDSU held them to just 85 yards.

That sure shows the difference in their front four vs. The griz front four. My guess is that NDSU LB's weren't needed to make 40+ tackles

Well that’s the tell tale stat. They only had 52 carries against NDSU vs 83 against us. They averaged 5 ypc so that’s 155 more yards right there in those 31 extra carries. The bison controlled the clock and rushed for 400 plus on them so CP wasn’t able to rattle off 96 plays like they did on us.

The Griz and Griz O were scoring so quickly that we kept giving the ball back to CP. With the good lead in second half, UM backed off a bit to keep everything in front of them.

Not sure I'd classify this as bad or ugly, but I've noticed the last couple games the timing has been a bit off on some PATs between the snap and Semenza beginning his approach to kick the ball. There has been a few times when he has started, stopped, then started his approach before the ball is snapped. Hopefully they'll get that cleaned y before a block or false start penalty is called on Semenza.

I am missing the days that KPAX carried all the games.

Well, from what I hear we now know where the KPAX camera person from that far gone time moved to........

Yep. Two totally different game approaches. Both worked. :thumb:

You’re right. Their top three tacklers in that game were two of the LB’s and a Safety.
