Seems like a dumb idea to me. The Dartmouth basketball team votes on this next week. I've talked to Cam Krystkoviak about this a bit, as he was a captain last year at Dartmouth. He said injury healthcare/insurance was one of the main issues. I don't have an issue with making sure that athletic injuries get fully taken care of.
Some Brown athletes have previously sued for athletic scholarships. I don't know anything about that case. That one seems dumb to me too.
I've been told that 3 of the current Dartmouth players receive no financial aid (their families have money). I only mention this, and am not making a point.
