Dave Boling is a great writer who has been around forever. Hillyard and Rogers High are the most underprivileged, toughest parts of Spokane. Nice story.
Great story! What a warrior. Biggest shocker is Levi is 38 years old.

I texted with Levi multiple times last night. That was fun. Here's a link to his organization, or the one he spends his time on. l lobbed in a donation. Feel free to do the same. They operate on a shoestring. Even a small donation would help. The kids they work with don't have to pay anything.

Thanks for sharing. It's a good article. Many Native kids across Montana could live that experience. All of the Montana higher-ed schools have done a poor job of developing them.

Great article on a great person and another in a long line of Native athletes and the Native tradition within the Griz and Lady Griz. Here's hoping to generations more and more recognition and honor bestowed upon them. Next up for the Griz, Tommy Running Rabbit.

I was glancing at the MT Indian Athletic Hall of Fame site and saw reference to Tommy Running Rabbit in this link: https://www.facebook.com/montanaindianathletichof
The site has some interesting things in it. Donny Wetzel of Helena pretty much runs this, now than his dad Don, who played hoops for the Griz in the 60's, has passed. Donny played college hoops too.
I got Donny, and my reservation's former Chairman and college hoops player, John Morales, to join me in submitting our views in support of RaeQuan Battle when he was fighting and suing the NCAA over being eligible to play immediately after he transferred to West Virginia several years ago. I told the NCAA they were going to lose the case, and lose control of the situation, and shortly thereafter they did.

It's my understanding that Levi got more game balls than any OL playing at UM during his era. He played during the Reynolds and Mariani days, I believe.
