I don't think anyone really cares that the Zags lost, just the same as we don't really care when they win (only when it's against us) nor when they get top ten plays.

The point GB is trying to makes is that you two feel as though there are people interested in Zag basketball over here and use that as a reason to post on the subject... if that was the case, why not enlighten us on the loss?

You are being far to kind to him. Fact is he is arrogant and the ONLY reason he ever posted that Zag crap was to rub it in our faces. GB1 I thought you were smarter than this. See, without knowing my personal aptitude in golf, you have no way of knowing whether the analogy holds or not. And even if I were the worst golfer in the world, the anology would still hold, because margin of victory makes no nevermind. That is, Tiger may be better in relation to me that the Zags are in relation to the Griz, but Tiger [Zags] still won handily.

While the chasm between Tiger and myself is most likely wider, given one chance to play him, the outcome would undoubtedly be the same at the Griz-Zag game (me being the Griz). Thus, in our real world BB trial (and really, the last ten BB trials), the second part of the analogy would also hold. That is, you making fun of a team for losing, when said team actually beat your team THIS YEAR, is analogous to me making fun of Tiger after he spanked me.

See now, the comparison is not GU to Tiger. That makes no difference unless you commit yourself to the fact that a large victory counts for more than a small victory. (I'm sure you don't want to do that). I was simply making an analogy that placed the losing person [team/fan] as making fun of the winning person [team/fan] for losing a different event [game].

In short, I think your position is laughable because UM lost to GU, plain and simple. You cannot effectively put down the Zags for losing without putting down the Griz as well.

These fellows keep those of us who are interested up to date on things beyond the final score of a game. Also, for the record, I think you do need a touch of education with regard to an analogy. Mr. cdagriz was not comparing gonzaga to Mr. Woods at all. Only the relationship, my friend.

Another thing that I find inherently troubling about your general attitude is the fact that you must have an incredibly large ego. How else I am to explain your belief that a post does not belong unless you are interested in its subject matter?

It is very clear that you started this thread to talk trash about another team or supporters of that team. These zag posters did not mention zag victories over UC-Riverside, Western KY, or Virginia Tech, but you had to bring up the fact that they did not post about a loss that happened in that stretch. I am of the belief that you should either keep this on the smack forum, or just leave all together. I, however, am not so egotistical that I actually believe that I can speak for the entire population of posters, let alone casual readers.
