So yes it's hard to watch a team that starts out 3-7, but it's what you gotta do to dig out of the second tier NCAA basketball. Play anyone on the road and take your lumps.

It would have been easy to schedule 4 cupcakes, but what does that really do?

Our team is good, and these games (which they have not been embarrassed) will in the long run benefit the team and the recruiting of players.

Travis and the Grizzlies are following the Gonzaga blueprint, let's hope in a few years UM is at the same level as the #5 Zags.

A few years ago, I posted I thought the GRIZ should schedule many difficult road games. It not only helps build the program, but makes sense. Considering, the GRIZ struggle with attendance before the new year, and it is hard to get decent competition to visit.

I love DeCuire's approach in building the program and recruiting. I believe it will all pay off.

Agree. Let's hope TD stays to see that happen.

No, it's not hard to watch. Understanding the purpose, it's exactly to plan. That's what you expect punching up. It's how a program grows. I was "present at the creation" for Gonzaga, interviewing Adrian Buonchristiani in the locker room after a humiliating loss at UM. I didn't go the UM Locker Room where everyone was celebrating. I was the only reporter that went to the Zags Locker Room. He saw what Gonzaga had to do, and didn't get much credit for it, but he was right. "We need to fight up."

I guess you missed my point.

Easy to do. You have neither the background nor experience to express UM athletic experience in a rational fashion. That's why your "moderation" is not only "immoderate," it's irrational.

Easy to do.

Why do you have to be such a ____? I was making the same point you were just not being snarky.

Crap 75 try to chill out.

Look in the mirror. What do you see?

What coment that I made was inappropriate? Yet for the last year you have made egriz a shitshow with your constant BS. Look at these posts. As usual instead of adding insight you turn on a poster, this time me, why is that? Can you honestly hold a conversation without attacking an other poster? Do us all a favor and quit the BS. It's really getting old and if you can't calm down, WE will send you packing.

I am glad to see you admit this. Look at your response to the comment "easy to do." The shitshow started. You have personal disagreements with opinions; opinions generally more valid that your shitshows; and you hide yourself behind a "we" will do to you .... your problem is that I have predicted a "problem" with our FB program. I based my opinions on statistical analysis, weird comments made by the coach, and ... results. The "constant BS?" The predictions turned out to be exactly right. See that odd set of facts there? Like others, you bring this crap over to the Basketball side, because you are, in fact, and have been, nothing more than a troll with moderator status. It is no longer countable the number of times I would point to a derailment underway, note that the ad hominem attacks were starting, and passively note that "I am sure Payton will get right on it," -- probably the most frequently used phrase on egriz thanks to you -- and yet, sensitive to any other slight, you never would, and the threads would inevitably devolve. That was you. The worst troll of the bunch.

I agree, you have to have this type of schedule every year as, eventually, the Griz will start winning these games. 3-7 can look bad but when you look at the teams, it is not so bad. Much different conversation here than on the football board. We may look back on the 16-17 season as the turning point in Griz basketball when they legitimately took the first step up the ladder.

You always hope for 6-4 next year, 8-2 the next. That's how you build and recruit. Let's hope TD stays around to see this through. I'd love for him to be here another 5 years and a sweet 16!

75 don't let the facts get in your way.

There is no way Adrian started Gonzaga's success. As a matter of fact he had a losing record at Gonzaga. It was Dan Fitzgerald! As a matter of fact their success came when Fitz moved them out of the Big Sky and into the WCAC. Adrian left Gonzaga after the 1977-78 season and Fitz took over. Fitz was also the AD and after 3 years hired Jay Hillock as head coach for Gonzaga. Hillock lasted 4 years and Fitz took over. It wasn't until 1994-95 that Gonzaga made it to the NCAA for the first time. That was 17 years after Adrian.

I talked to Travis and tried to get him to schedule DUKE. I like what he is doing with this program. IF/When these guys get into the NCAA tournament, they won't be so shocked at the big school teams they are up against'. Travis is doing the right thing!

I wish we could get them to Missoula, however?

Really,

The constant BS I was referring to is that 90% of the threads that you post in, you turn on one or more posters with "holier than thou comments", and when posters react to your attitude and drival. You scream like chicken little about how the mods let people get away with so much and they are Trolls etc.

Quite frankly, I gave up trying to reign you in because it was a waste of time to check in to all your posts and attacks. Its all OK, I bet there is no way you can ratchet it back and become a quality poster on Egriz. Your time is coming soon... you don't have the ability to look at this post and ask "Could PL be right?" Instead you will lash out and you will get banned. Not because of the moderators, but because of your own actions.

BTW... The last time you were baned, it was not me... but it was Chris.
