All, I'm looking to get on a team for any of the Griz golf tournaments this spring and or summer. Bogey golfer, when playing well, shoot low 80s.

Also, any Ranch Club or Country Club members care to help me play those courses, now and then? The membership waiting lists are long at each. Meanwhile, Larchmont and Canyon River are getting overly busy to justify memberships at either. 18 hole golfing options are way too limited in this area.

Hope to have some luck in posting here regarding tournaments and or normal play. Thanks in advance.

Don’t worry. Larchmont won’t be busy soon. It’ll be gone.

Last I knew, the housing project was a no go

For now, that group pushing it won't quit.On a positive note if the County Commisars diddle around ala the MacClay Bridge fiasco I'll be dead by the time they make a decision  . If you play 20 rounds walking at Larchmont it covers a season pass (no riding cart). It's really not that busy outside of weekends before 3 and holidays, was busier 10 years ago.

Cost effective and better exercise but harder to keep your beers from foaming up.

When I was in my 20s, I took to a nine hole course just to do something one summer day. I was on my second or third hole when I notice three guys moving up the course in my direction. I finished the hole, then sat down, waiting for them to overtake me. I had never seen golf like that in real life. WOW!
The best of them invited me to join them in a foursome. I declined and told them I'd wait for them to play on, and I could continue my duffing. The guy told me he was a three handicap, then launched his shot somewhere into the stratosphere, and off they went. That summer was the last I played golf, or, whatever it is called that I was doing. There is a Three Stooges short about golf that accurately portrays my (in)ability. Good to see that there are real golfers in the world. :thumb:

Further to the OP, if there are any eGriz posters who are members at Cypress Point, Seminole, and/or ANGC who wouldn’t mind letting me play those tracks, I’d really appreciate it. I’d return the favor at my nice little local CC that just punched and sanded the greens free of charge if that sweetens the deal.
