Exactly. A player is free to enter the portal but must also realize that there will be consequences if he/she doesn't land a better offer somewhere else.

To be fair I think he was hoping to follow his brother that transferred to UTEP I believe. But still, who knows how many hundreds, if not a couple thousand kids this happens to every year.

Honestly, he’s probably lucky he had UNC to crawl back too. I would think most schools would have already filled up the opening he left. Granted he’s now a walkon but with the new roster limits, that’s gonna affect how many walkons we can have also.
