1) JJ comes out unscathed
2) No other major injuries
3) See offensive line growth & development
4) Don't get blown out
5) Win the game

In that order.

You?
You're f'n shitting me right? Do you know what lies in the heart of a competitor? Some selfish players worry about their stats but EVERYONE wants to WIN the game. I don't know anyone who thinks like this. Why do they run, lift, and train their a$$ off?? What's next?? Let's call NDSU and see if we can take the pads and helmets off and go with 2 handed touch below the waist...   ... :egriz:
So coaches should teach playing to not get hurt nor blown out. Interesting game plans and recruiting propaganda. That's how every kid wants to play. If you win it sounds like an accident. Must be playing the Seahawks. Snacks after the game; then everyone into the minivan....

Now I really give up. You idiots are priceless.

You're half right; we are idiots.

I hope our players expect to go into Laramie and win tomorrow, despite their fans' apprehensions. NDSU will be a tougher road match-up.
They won't need oxygen in Fargo. EWU likely to be tougher than either.

Well, I don't know how much clearer I can make it.

These are MY goals. And I'm neither a player nor a coach for this team.

I've never suggested the players should have these same goals....or that we should recruit differently...or that they should play differently...it is absolutely amazing how some people can twist a simple post into something it's not.

You?

#1? Check. Yes, he got knocked down a few times, but he'll be on the field tomorrow and that's a good thing.
#2? Check. Holmes with a mild ankle sprain, but he was back out there later, so it appears no major injuries to speak of
#3? Check. This line, while obviously needing significant work, actually did BETTER than I anticipated. Run blocking needs work, and O-cordinators need to put the line in a position to succeed (quick pace, short passing game, etc), but they looked pretty good with a few glaring exceptions.
#4? My amended #4 was EH playing and looking good. BIG, HUGE, THANKFUL Check! Announcers said he's gained back 11 of the 18 pounds he lost fighting the infection....dude is a flat baller, and him being on the field makes JJ a MUCH better QB and the Griz a much better team. Was great to see him out there considering some of the discussions that were being had on this board a few weeks ago...
#5? Check. We didn't get blown out. In fact, had a few plays gone differently we actually had a chance to win this game. We covered the spread.
#6? Nope. OK, this is the one most here gave me shit for. I feel bad for the fellas, given that this game was there for the taking, but they have nothing to hang their heads about. They played hard to the very end and I was proud of them.
