GO TINKS!

It's always a good thing to start off the season by making your first shot! Seriously, all the best to former Griz coach, Wayne Tinkle, and his Oregon State... uh... animals. The talk is that OSU is being overlooked a bit. Regardless, I always wish the best for those (coaches and players) with Montana Griz roots.

Can't remember who we were playing but Tinks came down the court and scored 3 straight 3's from well beyond the arc.

I can't root for someone who supposedly had the Griz' interest at the fore-front (ie-being paid by the U), yet still persuaded his 3 (D-1) kids to all go elsewhere. I'll never dislike Wayne personally, but why are we all wishing him the best? Not me. I, genuinely, want OSU to fail tremendously, and have him come crawling back (after Travis parlays his success elsewhere, which is inevitable).

Maybe his kids made their own choices like most do!

Love Tinks, Played golf and drank beer. Mouse correct, kids loved the Griz but chose their own paths. A good man, a good coach, a good father. Will always be welcome in my Montana.

:thumb: ... Which is what most parents should hope their kids do.

Beyond that, Wayne Tinkle had a profound impact on the University of Montana, as a player, a coach and an ambassador for all things "Montana."

I didn’t realize the NCAA had the 3 point line that far back. I know the ABA has it earlier, but the NBA was delayed in adding it after the Pacers, Nuggets, Nets and Spurs merged

This is one of the dumbest posts ever on eGriz....congrats.

Nice, are you going to talk shit like this about the current coach if he gets a better job. Classy.

Tinks played from 84-89 so in time for the 3 which came in 86

Seems like a shame they get older but we don't.

What parents would want their kids to play in the Pac-12 or at Gonzaga? What parents would want their kid to get an education at Stanford and Gonzaga? What parents would want their kid to be able to play for their dad?

So pissed off at him that you want him humiliated -- and to come back?
