Explain the other 12 losses Manning has in the playoffs?

Face it, he has had more talent around him than any QB in the history of the league and same up short more than any QB in the history of the NFL. He has always had a running game and 3 or 4 above average WRs, he has always had above average TEs and above average OLs.

The blame lies square on the guy the media keeps trying to tell everyone is the best ever but in the real world he might not make a top 10 if you want to win big games.

Right now I would take

Brady
Brees
Luck
Wilson
Roethlisberger
Rodgers

Over Peyton any day of the week then I would take his brother Eli who has done more with less than Peyton ever has.

Peyton would be in with Dalton, Ryan, Rivers, Stafford, Flacco.

And me being who I am would probably take all of the unknown above over Peyton because with him you know what you are going to get.

All the Manning bashing on here is pathetic. Obviously he didn't have a great game, but the way Seattle's defense played yesterday, there's not a QB on the planet that would have done much, if any, better. Seattle's defense deserves far more credit for winning that game, than Manning deserves blame for losing it. Not to mention that Denver's center, defense, and special teams also deserve plenty of blame. Seattle scored 43 points, and they're hardling an offensive powerhouse.

Really? Seattle didn't go through the season undefeated, you know.

The ONLY way to beat the Seahawks is to get into heavy personell and run the piss out of the ball (see Arizona Cardinals win @ Seattle). Denver does not have the guys, nor would there coaches even try to do this. Spread passing teams have no chance vs Seattle.

I acknowledged that Peyton didn't play well, and I know that his playoff record isn't stellar. That game probably knocks him out of the running for consideration as the GOAT, if he was ever in that conversation. But one game doesn't invalidate his entire career, which is what some people on this board seem to be implying, and he certainly wasn't solely responsible for Denver losing yesterday.

If you polled NFL GM's, I bet there's not many of them that would take more than one or two current QB ahead of him, and none of them would take Dalton, Ryan, Rivers, Stafford, or Flacco over Peyton, as you suggested. I'd also be willing to bet that none of those guys end up with more SB wins than Peyton when their careers are over (if they ever win even one) with the possible exception of Flacco, since he already has one.

I mean, are you kidding me? Let's review the resumes of these QB that you say are better than Peyton. Dalton has been just spectacular in the playoffs, hasn't he Alpha? Stafford and the Lions are perennial underachievers and usually don't even make the playoffs. Ryan and the Falcons usually flame out in the 1st round, if they even get there, unlike this season. Rivers' post-season record is filled with early exits, in the years the Chargers have managed to sneak into the field. Flacco is really the only one who's had any post-season success at all, but I guarantee you there's not a single GM that would take him over Peyton.

It's laughable to compare any of those guys with Peyton Manning...you're embarrassing yourself when you say that.

If I had one game that I had to win (Super Bowl) and had my pick of QB's in the NFL right now, Manning wouldn't even make my top 5. Dude is just not a big game QB, period. As far as the best ever???? LMAO Manning couldn't carry Joe Montanas jock!!! Yeah, Joe Montana, the guy with 4 rings and never threw one pick in the big game. THAT is a big game QB!

I agree and I may even throw Kaepernick in there too. Manning may not make my top 10!
