Gillman- BSky POW

There's no reason he shouldn't get 20 touches a game. He could smash records if the staff used him correctly. I love Ostmo and his dedication to the team but, in no way should he get as much touches as he does. He's a good short yardage RB for the most part. Gillman should get at least 80% of the carries.
Ostmo is still averaging 5.7 ypc which is nothing to scoff at. I understand the frustration, but I don’t want to see Gilman be a non factor down the stretch in the playoffs like last year. There’s no reason to run him into the ground early in the year when we can share the load and develop the line. In a playoff game like a quarterfinal or semifinal matchup they will be able to run him the way you want when it really matters.

We need Eli for big runs in November and December. Keep him fresh keep him healthy. We've already shown Ostmo is a capable runner on his own and we got like 4 deep. No need to stat pad in September and risk an injury.

Totally agree. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Mr. Gillman is a team player. By no means is the RB by commity. He understands the long term goals for the season better than anyone. Come the playoffs, a lot of the "run him 30 times" zealots, will be praising Bobby for not overworking him.

I agree. The team is planning for a long season and I am behind that choice 100%. The small correction I would suggest is to leave Gillman in for the ensuing series, after he pops for a long touchdown run. You can sub him later in that drive or situationally, but Gillman should touch the ball on the series following a long TD run. Momentum is real. This would add ~3 touches/game to his workload which is manageable.
