GGNez - Griz Nation Welcomes Hauck Back

I seem to remember that Jimmy Wilson went to fuck up his Aunt's abuser with a cohort and the abuser ended up dead. There was enough evidence to convict him the first time it went to trial. Dead guy had no witness Wilson did and got off second time around. Seems like I remember he was arrested for a misdemeanor assault soon after returning back in Missoula for biting a girls leg. back to the program in progress.

No offense, but in many of these particulars you remember wrong.

False. I had a long career as a wide receiver, both in college and a little bit in the CFL.

Great job GGNez! :thumb:

Thank you!

And....confession: I never actually played football. I AM wearing my Saskatchewan Roughriders jersey today though.

Last time you bragged about that shirt the thread got locked by Clark!

Seriously though, great article and great message for BOTH sides. You have a future as a writer.

Wrong. It just got moved. The truth shall set you free.

Retired, you don't know what you are talking about. Wilson went to his aunt's house to assist after he was informed, while at his grandmother's house, that his aunt had been beaten unconscious, with a hammer. The "dude" he went with, didn't get out of the car. The gang guy/boyfriend emerged from the garage with an assault rifle and came at Wilson. He defended himself. The weapon went off in the struggle, and the bullet entered under the guy's chin and to the side--consistent with a struggle.

The jury voted 11-1 to acquit at the first trial. There were no evidence to convict him at either trial. That's why the total vote was 23-1 to acquit.

Wilson was not arrested when he returned to UM. He was cited for a misdemeanor and paid a tiny fine. While riding home after bar-closing at the Stocks, the girl, someone he had dated previously and who had invited him into the car, was laying across the guys in the front seat, with her legs on Wilson. She had her legs up high. She later claimed he had bit her. Not sure there was any evidence other than what she said. It was no big deal.

Why do people like you just make up stuff and lie? You are terrible.

Almost everything he said was wrong.

he was cited for misdemeanor assault and a plea was reached and he pled to doc. a citation

If I remember correctly he went to remove his Aunt from the abusers home, was assaulted and fended himself and during the struggle the uncle was killed when the gun discharged. He had a hung jury, waited 2 years for a retrial, was acquitted. He was arrested for misdemeanor assault which he plead down to disorderly conduct as the assault charge was overkill for biting a woman on the leg in playful manner, without her consent. He was just under extreme scrutiny when it happened or likely no one would care. frankly all the people that keep making the issue of it come across as mostly racist to me. Trying to classify him as the stereotypical black thug.

Thanks, PR, for reminding us of the facts.

Retired popo needs to remain retired, go take a big poo poo, prepare, initiate and complete an enema, and drift off quietly to sleep. Thanks to PR for reminding us of the Jimmy Wilson the facts.

Yeah....so, for a wee little split second, when RetiredPopo commented, I considered responding. But then I thought, "Nah. Pretty sure this will get handled without me."

Nice work, gentlemen.

 ...enema....

Enough evidence to try someone? Huh, what are you talking about?

Is there a reason you posted the same link twice?

Like I said he was not arrested. He was given a written citation the next day. He pled to disorders conduct paid the fine. It wasn't much.

"Ryan said at the time that Wilson and the victim were among six people in a car, and that the woman was sitting in the front seat between the driver and Wilson.

"There's no question that he did bite her," Ryan said Wednesday. "It was done in a playful matter, but it was not appropriate and she did not consent."

... On Wednesday, Anderson handed him a six-month deferred sentence, meaning his record will be cleared if he stays out of trouble. She also imposed a $50 fine and $101 surcharge, and required him to write a letter apologizing to the victim."

Unfortunately, too many cops wish they could be judge and jury...I bet this guy is one

Willson got the citation the next day, before any cop or anyone talked to him. I believe they delivered it to his apartment. That's probably why he was overcharged initially.

Wondering if this "Montana Grizzlies Football and the FCS" forum might benefit from a pinned topic where all of our real and aspiring Doctors of Jurisprudence can discuss facts, raise objections, badger witnesses, and argue and rebut various points and technicalities of the law all day long. Once someone gets started, it's pretty hard to wade through these courtroom dramas and get to the stuff about football.

I like it a sepperate forum called the Court Room.
Every time a player or someone gets in trouble posters can enter the court room to battle it out!

My view is that there ought to be a separate forum for posters who mainly complain about topics of discussion, pick at other posters, etc. They seem not to have the temperament or intelligence to have a discussion, read quietly, or move on to the next post or thread. Some of them seem to think that everyone wants to know their opinion, whether it is supported by facts or reality or not.
