GFP recording tomorrow - season wrap up

Ok, I thought the convo in another thread was constructive, but now you are starting to be an asshat. Maybe take a break and go back over to your site for a while.
I was offering my opinion. That wasn't a criticism. I get why everyone was really confident in a win. We all want to look for reasons why our team should win and be positive. And if my tone came across a certain way, realize I was listening to last week's pod as I posed my questions.

But I'll give you this, I reread my last paragraph and I see where I came across sounding like a dick. That wasn't my intention. I rushed a post as I tried to finish a task at work and it came across not how I intended.

I want to know your thoughts on Cat fans downloading some jukebox app where you can pick songs remotely, and playing Mony Mony randomly in bars around Missoula over the weekend. High level trolling or rubbing it in too much?

Also, if Sample still wrote for the Chronicle today, how much would he hurt inside having to write an article on this game?

That’s pretty funny except you can block certain songs from playing and skip songs. So whoever paid for those songs most likely wasted their money.

I'm guessing you can block certain users too because what I was reading was people eventually got messages that the jukebox was offline.

First of two planned GFP's. This first one will be our usual season ending pod therapy session, season reflection, etc. We'll share plenty of thoughts on the game. Then in January we're planning a more broad thought and look ahead discussion on everything Griz Football there.

If you guys have questions or comments - hit us up here.
Anybody else want to see Cat fans find a new identity? They can’t seem to get out of the past. At this point they have proven themselves enough to move on from the “little brother”, “eat shit Griz” mentality. One would think, with the rise of becoming a winning program, they would become a bit classier.

James, should the Euro step be called travelling?

I'm sure the questions on here will be pretty damn negative, so I'll ask this: how freaking fortunate are we to be fans of the Montana Grizzlies?! Yes, we lost to the cats, and they are marginally better right now. But we've been better for 35 years! Sorry, but I'm not trading passports.

Why is 3rd and 15+ this team's kryptonite?

Choose one to give up forever: Steak; tacos; salads.

Was this loss finally painful enough to get the influential donors to wake the eff up and realize it’s not the 2000’s anymore?

The past has no bearing on the current landscape and all the progress that was made to elevate this program from the 80’s to 90’s has been undone in a decade by the neighbors, complacency, and elitism.

Honest question. Where was Griz Nations (Mike calling for the crush, Kyle looking for restaurants in Nashville) optimism after game 1 wrong? What was being missed on the Cats side of game 1 that could have been blinding you to the outcome of game 2?
Two words - Evan Shafer

Is it true that the Griz coaches don't go to high school football games in Missoula or any of the surrounding towns/cities?

Coach Read used to give tickets to the high school JV teams that would come to play in Missoula on Saturday mornings. Is this still done?

Are you on board with Ryan Featherston and PDXGrizzly trying to create local NIL groups?

If we didn't have a current coaching staff, are you picking Tony Annese as the next head coach for the Grizzlies? Yay or Nay and why?

Bobby's contract incentivizes him to sustain the program. Vigen's contract incentivizes him to grow the program. Does Bobby's contract need to be restructured to incentivize growing the Griz football program?

Jesus Christ they were so bad that game. It was so appalling I think it got my parents to stop playing the coy “house divided” nonsense.

I agree, they do that all the time. I asked a question last week, and sugarcoater Brint said I was a troll and they didn't answer it. I lease a box in the stadium, or more precisely, my company does, but I'm a troll. If you want more insights into the program, listen to Schmidt.
The homers don't like you because you are RIGHT!

I'm not James, but please, yes.

I know it's legal, but I hate everything about today's basketball play. Everybody, and I mean everybody, carries the ball. Nobody knows what a travel is. Nobody runs real sets anymore. Screen on the perimeter, drive, and dish, find an open 3 point shot, rinse and repeat. I miss watching the low post game. I used to love basketball, and watch it more than football. Now I rarely watch a game.

/old man rant over

How do we recruit younger fans to replace our aging, grey haired fanbase?

Colter mentioned on the pod that he had a proposal for how to keep high school students from SW Montana from heading over the Divide for college. Did he elaborate off air?

My question is this: We all predicted a Griz win. Some had us winning by 14+, and we end up getting blown out as we always do in Bozeman. What are the reasons for this crap? Is it..

A. Bad Luck? a tipped ball here, an unfortunate penalty there, an ill timed turnover?

B. Player quality? We have the better skill players, but are we lacking the horses on the lines? Are there depth issues?

C. Coaching? The fact that Bobby is still stuck on the 3-3-5 is concerning, but is it deeper than that? Is his refusal to innovate and adapt holding the team back?

D. Leadership? Is the reason we are losing to the Cats systemic in nature? Cruzado led MSU to new heights with regards to athletic infrastructure. Is Bodnar on par with that? Haslam vs. Costello? It seems we are losing in that regard as well.. and of course Bobby is 2-4 against Vigen.

Why is this happening and how can we fix it?
