Is that really true, though? I don't remember those conversations in specific, but my thought is that the guys that go on the pod often skew younger, and I know the Universities don't ask for donations from those of us who are more recent grads than people who are a bit more established in their careers. Why has the AD been reluctant to reach out to former players and specifically those that still live around Missoula for help financially with the football program. We’ve heard on former pod guests that they really don’t focus on including local guys in really much of anything.
Second question would be, when is the next stadium upgrade and what is the plans. If it’s anything other than double decker all glass suites for the west end to further box in noise and provide large size gathering spaces….flip the table and rage.
I know that there are plenty of ex-griz that are local or semi-local and are in the QB club. I don't want to name names just because it is nobody's business, but there are a good number of local former players that are significant boosters. It may just be that the people going on the Pod haven't hit the age where the University is expecting them to give more, so they aren't chasing them. I don't know, that's just a theory on why you have heard people mention that. It may be more perception than reality.
