Georgia Southern to do feasibility study

Why not just do the study and put this thing to bed once and for all? I think the reason is simple like other schools in the West who have done this study the conclusion would be to join FBS. And that is not what they want to do.

And the comment about the players that can't play for all but the very top FBS team playing FCS ball is beyond laughable. There might be a few of those but not many. Other wise there would be a lot more FCS team beating FBS teams and it would not be such a big deal when it happened.

Just do the study, and prove the "move up" crowd wrong once and for all. But they won't. I wonder why?

The WAC would be good for the Griz, and the Griz would be good for the WAC!

My question to you is if it is sooooo expensive and sooooo hard why has everyone that has moved up since 1992 made a go of it? Not one program has failed, not one program has been forced back to FCS, not one program has dropped football. In fact Connecticut has gone from 9000 attendance to 38,000. South Florida has a new 50,000 seat stadium under way, Central Florida averaged 44,000 this year, Troy went from 8000 attendance to 22,000, WKU in their very first year went from 10,000 to almost 17,000, Boise State is adding on to their stadium and will be over 40,000 seating, Marshall as bad as they have been the last two years is averaging 31,000.

But nooooooooooooo! If Montana went we would be like Idaho. Too funny.

Attendance is the key? Really?

Our attendance would drop after three years. No doubt. Why, you ask? No more undefeated seasons and our legions of unsophisticated fans live for winning.

Color me small minded but give me big fish in a small pond any day vs. the opposite.

Now, if I thought we could compete year after year, thats another story; not occasionally as some small fish do.

OK, you are officially colored small-minded.

I don't want to be colored small minded.

Seriously though. On average we would go slightly above 50/50 and make the Barely Noticed Bowl every few years.

Sorry, not for me. :twocents:

Now back to the Cowboys game.

But going one and out in the Barely Noticed Bowl would not be so devasating as going one and out in the Totally Unnoticed FCS Playoffs. O'Day and King George could laugh all the way to the bank.

Our attendance could drop in three years if we don't do something. If you haven't noticed, Griz fandom has peaked and needs a change to reinspire.
