GAMEDAY!!!!!

Random question—what are people's thoughts on what the crowd will be like? Another sellout or less people? Genuinely interested....and I also got a GA ticket hoping to sit elsewhere.

Paper today said 4,500 - 5,000 all session passes sold by yesterday. Thought I also heard 1,000 UM students would get in free tonight....so that's 5,500 - 6,000 going into today. I picked up a couple all session passes this morning and there was a small line. Sounds like it will be comfortably packed tonight.

Prob 5500 - 6000 tonight. The issue is that some fans probably didn't want to pay for a full tournament pass ($38) if the Griz aren't in the championship game tomorrow night. I read that they were in upwards of 4500 sold as of yesterday so I'd think add in probably 750 - 1000 students plus same day sales will put the attendance around 6000.

Man, I SOOO wish I could be there. Please be extra loud for me. :thumb:

Hey EverettGriz! Where in the Seattle area do they show the games? I had tix to go with my family, but have had some medical issues that made me not want to drive that trip. I remember back in the day the old University Sports Bar and Grill and a few years ago went to some place in Kirkland that I don't remember it's name or location. Thinking of watching bigskytv tonight and then want to be with fans for the Championship game tomorrow(knocks on wood).

SGL, the location is Sluggers Bar and Grill in Kirkland.

Given that the games are on regular TV, there probably won't be a huge Griz contingency there tonight or tomorrow, but those that will be there will be extremely passionate! :thumb:

Unfortunately, I have to be in meetings in Newport Beach tomorrow, so I won't be there tomorrow night.

But others will be, so you should definitely plan on attending. Also, every football game is shown there as well, and that's a great time. We generally have 60-80 people for those.

PS, hope the medical issue isn't anything serious.

GO GRIZ!!!

Saw somewhere that Weber was bringing up two busloads. I'm assuming that those tickets are counted in the 4500-5500 figure that was in the paper today. Although I doubt it will sell out tonight, with the Weber support both games should be very well attended.

27-22 PSU 5 mins left in first.

Go Weber! There are only positives if there is an UM-WSU championship...

-The Griz will have the best possible chance to get a 12 seed should they win the tourney. Heck, just playing and beating PSU might lower the Griz RPI.
-Better TV viewership, conference notoriety if the two top dogs are playing
-Want the Griz to play to their potential at this time of year (which if PSU wins, the Griz might come out more lackluster than they would against Weber)
-If Weber were to win the tourney it would still benefit UM in the long run compared to PSU representing because they would be more likely to have a more positive showing

Well, I guess you could say it would be harder to beat WSU again as a negative.

3 horrible calls in a row go weber's way....fucking big sky refs

And then a horrible call against lilliard....at least they are horribly consistent.

Thanks for the info! Sorry you can't be there. I've been dealing with Prostatitis, so anti-biotics and pain killers have been my friend. Getting better finally, thank God! :thumb:
