We have but the times that we have the linebacker ends up blitzing after like two seconds instead of waiting for the play to develop

Those plays up the middle on 3rd down should be able to be covered better. If I was other teams I would expect to set up a pass play but have every intention of having the qb run it up the middle or a dump pass to the rb up the middle.
