Gameday Thread: Montana at Idaho State

This game makes me wonder. Did Hauck hold back Phenicie, or has Phenicie matured as a coach? He seems to utilize his personnel better.

Or is Phen just a better HC than OC. I would say Troxel is a better OC than Phen was.
 
It seems like on defense that our players are so confused on every play and that they therefor do not care. I see a ton of lack of effort on defense for wanting to tackle or chase down plays.

Almost like disgruntled employees who know no matter what effort they give the overall condition of the dept won't change.

I had always heard Phen was a brilliant OC on paper but struggled with the in-game play calling.
 
I am guessing, we did not change things up much since Troxel left. His being here, then leaving, is an advantage for ISU.
