We live in Winston-Salem which is in the middle of NC. But I have been all over the South and have never heard anyone from the South say anything other than App-a-latch-un. I only hear the incorrect pronunciation when we are playing Michigan. :lol: But crick? Seriously? How do you get crick from the word creek which has two e's back to back? Hell, even we aren't that redneck!

God-a-mighty, can kickoff get here any slower? All this arguing about how to say ASU is making ME want to put a hat on somebody! Lots of love to all-- until 6:30 tomorrow night!!!

It all depends. If it flows through a pretty mountain meadow, it is a creek. If it flows through a cow pasture it is a crick. Thus we have things like Rock Creek, but at the same time we have lots of Shit Cricks.
