my god!...... the worst half of offensive basketball I have ever seen (at the college level)
my god! :o :o :o One thing for sure, no lack of heart in the 2nd half!   I don't think heart was the problem in the first half either, just zero offensive execution. They also murdered WSU on the boards!

wow. Wow. WOW.

What a half of basketball that was. I left the comfort of my easy chair to head to the bar with the Griz up 7-5 in the 1st half. In the next 12 minutes they didn't hit a SINGLE field goal, and were down 22-12 as I sat down to my first beer...it wasn't looking good.

But that second half might be the best HALF of basketball played by the Griz this year.

Well, it was a good game for a while, oh well next year for us Cat fans, congrats on the victory and good luck tomorrow

Had a 30 minute drive home and left for home when the Griz had 11 points. Glad I made it home for the second half and didn't put myself through the first one. Hopefully the rust is all off now and the Griz come out rolling tomorrow. Jamar really stepped up tonight, his three and then layup about midway through the second half were huge. Towards the end I did notice that Tinkle was subbing Wood in for him as a offense to defense substitution.

They played great as a team on both O and D. You really couldn't ask for much more in that second half except for Selvig to not dribble off his feet and possibly wood finding his shot from deep, but that just isn't going to happen this year, it seems!

That Coach Tinkle must be a half-time speech-talking, effective adjustment-making genius! Huh? 8-)

At least in the BSC tournament and against Weber State when it really matters............

I would love to be in there just to see what he says and the tone he says it in.

I knew we would win! 12 points were to put the weebs to sleep and by god it worked. You week fans simply need to get a grip. Ala Selvig....Good Job Guys!

I thought I just saw Dubfonz in a un-maned drone flying over my ranch. I swear I heard a big bang a few minuets later! Remarkable, a pilotless plane.

I feel a win coming on. Stay tuned

I'm about to say something very u-n-p-o-p-u-l-a-r. The season took a turn for the worse right when our friend Stockton started getting more minutes. Let's face it, he might be the best team player in the history of sports, but he's the pure definition of a soak. He just sucks so much of what this team is capable of off the court. When he's in, it's like the other team is only playing against 4 guys instead of 5.

We were playing better teams tougher and absolutely dominating weak teams back before he got so many minutes.

When he went out I knew we were going to the tourney. I like our chances to win a game now too.

Some players are just poison to a team's execution.

Sorry. Had to say it. Had to get it off my chest.

UNC isn't going to know what hit them tomorrow.

Actually, the Grizzly season took a turn for the better when Stockton starting getting more minutes. The Griz were 6-4 when Stockton's minutes went from just a few minutes a game up to the range of 15 or so minutes a game. Then, a few games after that his minutes rose even more and finally he went into the starting lineup as he replaced Jordan Wood, who was hardly lighting up the scoreboard. I think it was pretty clear that the Griz were hitting their stride about that time. Starting with their win against Oregon State on Dec. 15, they racked up a record of 11-1.

That was with Stockton playing 15 to 30 or more minutes a game. Just think of it. How could the Griz win like that with him "sucking so much of what this team is capable of off the court?"

All told, the team has lost 5 games since Stockton has been starting, all road games against the league's top tier teams, as well as EWU and Long Beach st. But to blame him for that is, of course, silly. Granted, it would be nice to see him be more of an offensive threat, but he brings a lot of other things to the table that others on the team who might sub for him don't have. (everyone's been over that ground before).

At any rate, the team's record rebuts the basic sucky argument.

When the good Griz show up, they can beat anyone. The Griz better be really, really good tomorrow night in order to overcome the 7 they're going up against on the court. :(

You just made my point for me and you don't even realize it.

Jesus.

I don't see where you think I made your point for you, which was that "The season took a turn for the worse right when our friend Stockton started getting more minutes."

In the Grizzlies first ten games of the season, their winning percentage was 60 percent. That's when Stockton was only playing a few minutes a game.

After those games, his minutes started to rise dramatically. And from that point on, the Grizzlies started to play better. And from that point on, the Grizzlies' winning percentage was 76 percent.

The figures don't lie, but...

UM's fortunes improved after Stockton's time increased and then got into the starting line-up. Several of the road losses in the conference occurred when Cherry got hurt.

Stockton's role does not include scoring. There are 5 other good scorers in the top 6. Stockton has been doing exactly what the coaches want him to do, i.e. all of the other things, and occasionally taking the open shot or scoring when he gets a pass slashing to the basket. I noticed that Weber had a starter scoring about 4.5 per game. I wonder if Weber fans like Dub think he's hurting the team too.

Grizonbon, I've noticed that one of Dub's techniques is to just declare victory or spew complete nonsense, when someone effectively counters his point (or shows how dumb the point was). Dub truly doesn't understand football or basketball, so it's easy to counter his BS. He's just a type of troll.

You are assuming that Weber has any fans like Dub. I wouldn't bet on it.
What makes you think he is fan of UM? Hateful comments are not the same as criticism, and hateful comments, as I used to read from this loser, are all he or she makes....That is no fan...that is a person with mental problems.
