Game thread/Wyoming

So it goes from the Griz shooting 2 free throws to possibly get to within 1, to a double foul on what sounds like was a charge after the refs have a little meeting, then bring the coaches in to have a meeting?

Wow, what a bad break....it went from the Griz most likely being down by 1 with just under 30 seconds left (if they hit both free throws), to the Griz being down 3 with about 24 seconds left & having to chuck up a 3.

So....the ref with the best angle calls a charge, and the ref trailing the play calls a block & overrides the other ref? :lame:

I think Mick said it best...the game is supposed to be decided by the athletes on the court...

So what did the Wyoming announcer say? I mean jeez...it's either a charge or its a block. The defender either had their feet planted and had position, or they didn't. What a bunch of crap.

Edit: As for the shooting FTs... Since they had 10 fouls after the charge that was called, wouldn't it have been a 2 shot foul even though they had the ball? I'm pretty sure if the offense sets an illegal screen and the other team is in the bonus, the other team shoots FTs... Or I could be wrong...either way what a crap call.

At least this one was close to the end.

Something to build on.

It's still real early.

The only team making it to the dance has to win the Big Sky tourney.

Additional generic encouraging comment.

Dave Walsh left no doubt about it that Martin was stationary and was "steamrolled" by the Wyo player as he called the play.

When the refs then had their disagreement, both Walsh and the color guy agreed it was a terrible call.

That wasn' t the first time in the game that they said the refs had screwed up on a call that went against the Griz.

Dloughy, Strait, and Hasquet all in double figures, and note that Jordan had 8 rebounds. Yet he cannot rebound (yeah right) :thumb: Good job frontcourt

Wyoming coach, Steve McClain, not on postgame show because of some tragedy that happened to someone close to their program. They were told about it as the game ended.

Announcers "can't say much about it" because of circumstances.

Down the road the adversity will help them. It sucks to lose like that, but they also have to look back on the two crucial turnovers in the last 2 minutes WY scored on both. I don't like losing, but this was a big improvement over the last outing.

Did we shoot 100% from the line and not have any TO's? If not, QUIT BLAMING THE PHUCKING REFS FOR LOSSES. Geezuz phucking h. Christ it gets old hearing about refs losing games for teams.
