Game Day Thread- Utah Tech

Getting damned tired of seeing opponents WRs running free behind our corners.

Our secondary has taken a pretty big step back. Honestly the defense hasn’t looked particularly great so far this season.

I’ve expressed concern about the back end of this D for several weeks…this game has done nothing to help ease my concerns…

I’m thinking some things get exposed next week. Ferris will be the best of our non conference opponents. I think they’ve won something like 28 straight road games. I know they’re D2, but that’s a lot of winning regardless of division

I'm interested in seeing the comparison between not good at all Dixie State vs. the 2 time NC Ferris State. Does that translate at all in their first year in 1-AA?

How bad must it be on the UT sideline if they won't pull their starters and let the backups in the game? Wait... sorry, the same coach punted with three seconds left in the half. Nevermind.

No doubt in my mind that Ferris is better than Dixie. Just watched their semifinal and title game from last season and they’re legit better than a lot of FCS squads IMO

Somebody please give Greg and Riley some feedback. They keep talking about how funky the Griz have got in the second half. What a confusing reaction to a team bringing in the next layer of kids looking for some game action development. Shheeeesss

We were ahead 43-0 after 3 qtrs. Hard to get better than 0 pts.

Last years D was very good. We will see how this D stacks up after a few BSC games. I have confidence in Bradford and Tim Hauck. Our D will continue to improve. Believe me, they see the same mistakes we do and more.

people are nuts if they think ferris is going to be competition. they were trailing Ashland today at the start of the 4th quarter. ashland is 0-2 and it was 31-28 with 28 seconds left so not like they are blowing division II foes out lol. going to be a blowout but still hate wasting a game where we should be playing a better opponent.

Clearly they were looking ahead to Montana.

Don’t know a ton about Ashland other than it was a nationally ranked D2 squad, but I know that was Ferris’s 28th road win in a row. Don’t get me wrong, I think it SHOULD be a blowout, but I’m never surprised by UMs ability to play down to its opponent, which it has done plenty of times over the years
