GAME DAY THREAD - UNDSU

I like to go back and read game threads to see where it’s a break down when we start kicking your ass . I should take screen shots of all the cockiness , aged well

How many national titles would Montana have if NDSU would have went 1-AA in 1990. Some say zero

I'd say I can't believe you don't have better things to do with your time, but I very much can believe it.

Not 1990. 1978.

IMO had that happened, NDSU would be in the FBS at this point.

Nah, I think I'll pass. Thanks for speeding over here after your first playoff win, though! We know how much our approval means to you! :thumb:

ugh, what hauck said about britt 'there were several plays we liked, but we checked and he had not practiced them'. what? you've got a qb who has been repeatedly injured, and might possibly have been playing injured from the start of the game, you are going to play a defense that is fast and hits hard, and you don't get your backup a few reps on what is depicted as a handful of plays you think would work in the game? that just seems...

People keep bringing this up, but do you think they should have given Britt starter practice reps (more than 50%) instead of LJ, even though it was clear LJ gave them a much better chance of winning? LJ needs those reps in order to get ready, but do we want to take those away on the chance that Britt has to come into the game? I guess what I want to know is what's the proper ratio of reps where LJ gets enough to be effective, but Britt gets enough to come in if needed without it being detrimental to LJ? It's effectively a zero-sum situation.

of course britt should not have gotten the same amount of reps as johnson, i never said anything of the sort. but given johnson's recent history, and the fact that it appeared he had an injury that from previous games looked to be one tackle away from being made significantly worse, you'd think having britt run a few extra plays that the coaches thought would work would be doable.

I'm saying that I don't think even giving the kid 100% of the reps would've been enough to make him as effective as we needed him to be, and any less for Johnson would've just made him even more ineffective. That's not a knock on Britt, just the reality of the situation.

...basically Britt did a unbelievable job being thrown in the lion's den without any
training ....more respect for him...I think he will be great one if handle right!

Yeah, I think he did great with some freshman mistakes, and he can only get better.
