GAME DAY THREAD - NAU

Like I said earlier, maybe this becomes Bobby’s “Northern Colorado” game…this is where the support stops and the wheels fall off the bus completely.

Honestly, we have been outcoached in all three phases and outplayed at every position. Regardless of how this ends up, this is an embarrassment. We don't have the offensive mindset to put our players in a position to succeed and are much too stubborn to change anything. Embarrassment is the only word that comes to mind. We have actually regressed. I expected growing pains with a quarterback with little game experience, but this is bad. Our inability to get improved QB play as a season goes on is just exhausting.

Imagine the griz getting outcoached by a Pflugrad.

I agree with everything you said, except for getting out coached by a Pflugrad.

Had this same thought.

The only positive difference is it doesn't look like the team has quit on him, yet.

I’ve been saying since butler that we regressed in all phases, and I caught some flak for saying so, but I wholeheartedly stand by that assessment. Hauck had a golden opportunity at a reset this offseason and chose friends over program. That was a major FUBAR, that could/should result in his not being here next season. It may be time to move on

I was a HUGE Bobby supporter but his show needs to go

This is all too hideously familiar to me, from his previous tenure.

Can't help but wonder what the coach at Ferris State could do with UM and all its facilities and fan support. I think the present UM staff is not overly competitive with the top tier of Big Sky Schools. Watching Idaho and Sac State, even Portland is like watching FBS compared to what UM is offering. Every year the program seems to sink just a little but face it, NAU is not a good team yet, at this point in the game, is demonstrating total dominance of UM. Sac State and Idaho are going to be hard to watch. Is Montana hitting bottom and no place to go but up? We will see.

I think they fell off in November last year. The game in Bozeman was telling.

Neither of them will leave, if anyone enters, it’ll be your QB7.
He'd have to go to D2 unless he wants to sit out his junior season.

Good point. Either way I don’t think he’s your starter next year (I hope he is)… so maybe leaving is worth it for him.

I hate how much I agree with your take. This is really, really bad and I'm barely able to watch today

If he keeps playing like this, and Bobby is still around, we're probably gonna see another transfer next season.
