I don’t think so

Mayginnes was not involved in the pre-game warm up and was not on the sideline. When asked about it in the post-game, Hauck only confirmed that Liam Brown started at left guard.

I like Hawkins. He seems like he’s a great coach. What a good get for ISU. I especially like the way he communicates

Coach Hawkins will be there for two successful seasons and move on as his ceiling appears to be high. He was also a great postgame interview.

Reading some of these comments is hilarious. Putting down McDowell on every play and every decision he makes that doesn't get a TD. But when Vidlak was playing, nobody complained about him, it was the o lines fault and the receivers not catching the ball. McDowell is part of the reason why we put up 28 points this game and 42 in the last game he started Meanwhile Vidlak was only able to put up 14 in the games he played in. Everyone hating on McDowell because his form doesn't look pretty but his stats show that he can and does complete more than Vidlak and when the o-line breaks down, he still gets us positive yards instead of just sitting back there to get sacked. You might not like McDowell for whatever stupid reason you make up but we win when he's playing and the offense looks way better and more productive.

You're missing a good chunk of context here saying he doesn't throw a pretty ball doesn't mean we think hes god awful, we just need him to improve to have a snowballs chance in hell to get some more wins this season. Also when Pease decided to use him correctly (rolling out ex.) he got better/it helped.

And Vidlaks sack WAS the O-Lines fault, they literally rushed 3 and kept getting to him, need to tone down the sensitivity.

The really context is ISU had the 121 rated rush defense, and 71 rated pass defense. NAU is 19th and 109th

Total defense rank
NAU 70
ISH 116

There are 122 teams.

In other words, the ISU defense is horrendous

Do think the ISU defense looked good against UM?

How’s the Stetson defense?

How did NDSU do yesterday?

Let me ask you this: who has ISU played? 2 decent FBS schools, UNI, and UNC. I’m not saying they are good. But the stats are skewed by the level of opponent. Stats can be made to fit any narrative you want.

ISU is definitely on the upswing, but they are not a fully mid tier team. I remain SHOCKED at how bad our pass pro is with Vidlak. CW keeps giving him lookout blocks and it’s horrendous. I hate to say this, but having one person do TE and Tackles may not be the best. Phen hasn’t been doing the best with them as that group has regressed a lot. Sacks aren’t coming up the middle as much, they are coming from the ends. We’re, you know, the tackles and TEs are.
