The problem with one throwing quarterback and one passing quarterback is that you pretty much know what each is going to do when they're in there. Idaho State knows that McDowell can't push it down the field.
 
If MD could throw he would have had Bergen I'm the seam, no confidence to push it downfield. And of course we miss the kick

Well, normally you'd expect some level of ingenuity in the play calling to help prevent that, but, what do I know?
