And a complete shit call against Pridgett. 5 point lead, cat ball.

Pridgett hooked him.

Disagree. Barely got his left hand around. That play happens multiple times a game with no call.

That is because consistency for officiating in the BSC is terrible.

The refs were pretty good in the first half. In the second half, the younger dark-haired guy became his normal terrible self again. Two of the refs made some horrible calls. One was consistently good.

Thanks for the feedback on Bobby. 6 boards a 7 assists is damn impressive, and the block was really something. I'd still like to see some more time for Manuel, especially with Oguine in foul trouble, but obviously Bobby brings a different, and important, skill set.

As the game ended, Hall came to Moorehead, put his arm around him, and had a short nice conversation. I think Hall must have been telling Bobby nice game/win and nice D. It looked like the two had a lot of respect for each other. I really liked seeing that. I would guess Hall is a good guy. He certainly can shoot the ball, especially when hot.

I think Moorehead eventually tired Hall out. Later in the half, as Hall got hot, even with very difficult shots, Moorehead's defense got more aggressive. In the early part of the second half, Hall didn't score.

Rorie played some good defense on Frey too.

The Cats put up a good fight, and they are a better team than I thought they were. They have more players than I thought they did. They will likely be dangerous in the tourney.

Manuel is 12-14 from 3 in his last 4 games. Rorie stats were 18 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds and 1 TO. The Cats made a couple of their runs when he was on the bench.

Lots of football coaches in attendance. Hauck, Schillinger, Germer, Mornhinweg. Probably more.

Manuel only had 18 minutes. I thought he played more.

Moorehad had 37 minutes, the most for the Griz. Hall had 36 minutes. Travis rested Moorehead each time Hall went out.

In the short discussion right after game, Hall told Moorehead he had been a great defender over the years, among other things. Hall is obviously difficult to defend, especially when he gets hot, which is often.

Bodnar just hit a half court shot on his last try to win $500 for a student. Dude is a billion times more charismatic than Engstrom.

Small point. Think it was his second to last try. He swished it. All of his shots were close.

I could be wrong, but I think the student gets a $1,000 scholarship next year, and $500 cash

He banked it in. Does that count as a swish?

You are correct. I saw the replay. Please confirm which of his shots it was. What did the student win?

What do you know about hall and moorehead’s talk right after the game, other than what I posted.

Who got engaged during the game, and what high school did she go to?

Where did bod at watch the game from?

Did you donate to the dance team to get them to Boise?

I love reading your stuff PR. You are one of weirdest guys ever!! For someone as defensive as you are, I can understand why you like Moorehead so much ( being such a great defender and such...) Two thumbs up.

Talk about weird. You make 4 posts in 10 years under this name, and you chose to make a post like this. You are an idiot.

Correct, I am definitely more of a consumer of online content than a producer. I typically leave the production to the experts like you. I could never cover all the important stuff like who sat next to Bobby during the halftime show or what color socks Bodnar was wearing when he sunk the half court shot.

I see that I may have offended you with my fourth post in ten years. While I suppose it was somewhat backhanded, I meant it more as a compliment than an insult. This place would be so boring without you. Keep doing what you do. I truly enjoy it. :thumb:

I talked to Bobby at length after the game. Can't tell you what he said, though.

Just wanted to make sure you were corrected about Bodnar's shot...you seem pretty focused on petty, minor, meaningless details and all...

I think Morehead is concentrating more on his defense than offense. His 3-pt shots are flat, the Arc is gone and this is why he has become so cold from 3-pt land. His defense is awesome. Hall was just throwing up rainbows and they were going in. There is no substitution for lucky over good.

So true. Even when he was double-teamed, Hall usually made the shot. But, Hall does little but shoot (and he's very good at that). On defense, it looked to me like he was doing his best to stay as far away from the ball as possible.

I just love the way TDC approaches defense. He doesn’t just sit back in a zone or do a take-who’s-gotcha approach, like many BSC teams. There’s so much more to it; very intricate and matchup intensive. For instance, the way they would double-team Frey to get the ball out of his hands was great. It was hard to track when they would do it—I believe it was only certain players in certain situations. Seemed to me to occur when a non-guard (other than Hall) set a ball screen. Sometimes the doubler would get there even before the screen, and totally mess with them.
TDC talked about this a bit recently and basically said the cat player to stop is Frey, not Hall.

I was thinking the same thing as I was watching the game. He had two fouls, with the second one coming late in the second half. I guess you don't want to risk your leading scorer getting into foul trouble by playing defense. The Bobcats have statistically poor defense, but a statistically strong offense. I always think the balance between offense and defense is interesting. The Griz do a good job of balancing offensive and defensive efficiency.

I do have to say, this was the first time watching Tyler Hall that I was really impressed with him. He's had good games against the Griz in Bozeman, but has always been underwhelming in Missoula. He didn't necessarily light up the score board, but the difficulty of shots made, and the timing of some of his shots were daggers when the Griz were making runs. Thankfully it seemed like his shots were tougher to come by late in the second half, which I think is a testament to Moorehead's defense. It will be interesting to see if he gets a legitimate shot in the NBA.

I don’t think Hall has a chance at the NBA. Good shooters are a dime-a-dozen there, and he needs to be able to do a hell of a lot more than that. Plus, he looked dough-y to me. If he turned into a legit D-&-3 guy, maybe. But one or two boards and/or dimes a game ain’t gonna cut it.

Are you a psychic or psychologist, or how are you able to determine that you've offended someone or they are defensive or weird? I have actually never been offended on a message board by anyone, let alone some like you. Maybe it would be best for you to go back into silence for another decade, instead of wasting space here. Oh, by the way, I don't do socks, but Bobby was talking to Marty when I last saw him. You probably don't know Marty, do you.
