Man, I couldn't believe how the commentators tried to exonerate Feagles on that second botched FG and lay the blame SOLELY on the long snapper. Sure, the LS screwed the pooch with the high snap. But to state that Feagles had no choice but to get it down as he did, leading to a bad hook job? By the time Feagles was able to get the ball, Tynes had to be changing his kicking motion so that he didn't kick early, and that messed up the timing of the kick.

Feagles DID, in fact, have another option.

He could have called "FIRE!"

They had a better chance of getting something positive out of the play doing that. Feagles almost sent the Giants home with that dumb decision. Yet another reason why a QB and a QB only should hold for kicks. He can thank that DB for saving his @$$ for him.

Giants didn't get lucky - they played the better game and deserved to win that game based on how both teams played.

The Pack played tight, and scrapped their game plan that worked the whole season. For a team that won on a powerful running game, and quick slant and hitch passes to just throw that all away and try trick RB pass plays and deep routes the whole game suddenly... well they almost deserved to lose. The Giants must've been a little surprised to see the Pack not playing the way they have been for most of the year.

Packers need to get a new shut down CB this off-season, Al Harris is past his prime.

Congrats Giants, you played the better game today - give the Pats hell!

Not sure why you're blaming Feagles, the hold looked great and the kicker had enough time to make the kick without it being blocked, so the chance he'd try and run or pass or whatever (which would just fail anyways) was very low.

I don't think the Giants got lucky at all, you must have been watching a different game. The GIANTS were the team missing opportunities over and over again and fumbling the game away in the 4th quarter.

I look forward to the Super Bowl. I'll say Pats by 17.

Boz: that's exactly why I've alway's advocated that nobody other than a QB should be holding for kicks. Punters usually screw the pooch. Heck, I don't know how the Rams got away with a safety doing it back in the '80s.

BTW, all I meant was that the Giants got lucky they were able to make up for that ONE screw-up. They did better than the Packers for the preponderance of the game. My point is that special teams have a way of taking over games.

Punters typically hold the kicks.. it's maybe half and half between QB and P holding the snaps..
