Future Schedules

Good looking schedules however I would really like to try and see us actually play more FBS competition especially with regional teams from the Mountain West and Pac-12. Remember when Montana State came to Utah a few years ago, was a great game to watch and would love to see the Griz play here or even at Utah State!

We all would, but MW games would be money losers relative to home games. We at least break even with the payout for PAC-12 games. The Wyoming game took a lot of work on both sides. UW paid out twice what they normally do for an FCS game and we swallowed a small loss to play the border program. Haslam is from Logan, so I would be really surprised if he hasn't tried every angle to get a USU game without breaking the bank.

With the BIG 10 not scheduling FCS anymore, the BIG 12 not scheduling more then one FCS, and many top programs reducing FCS games it is not that hard for a MWC school to find a FCS school to come in for a lower payout then Montana wants. I mean two of the three FBS programs that never schedule FCS teams are in the PAC 12

Watch for home and homes with Idaho (assuming they somehow stay FBS) and with South Dakota State. Both would be great non conference series.

Why not? There's at least three on that list that are VERY winnable.

I can't say I like the Valpo game; hard to believe we cant do better than that.
