Agreed. A really nice job of scheduling. It's a great day to be a GRIZ!

Yes, in a few weeks. So much for the Grizmusician theory!
Although some future games have already been set with the Washington Huskies, lets add the Oregon Ducks to the list of future FCS football games for the Montana Grizzlies.
GoGriz.com reported on Friday that the Griz will finally get a crack at some of the top FCS teams in the nation, scheduling future games through 2021. Here’s a quote from the article:
”I think it’s exciting for our kids,” said first year Griz head coach Bob Stitt. “As much as we recruit the West Coast, especially Washington and Oregon, I think our players are going to be fired up to go out there and play, number one, against a Pac-12 opponent, but the big dogs in their home state. So it should be very exciting for us.”
GoGriz.com reported that UM Athletic Director Kent Haslam scheduled these games “with a clear eye to the strategic future of Grizzly Athletics.”
“Certainly it’s exciting whenever we can start to build our football schedule,” Haslam said. “I mean, I like the idea of if we’re going to play FCS schools, to stay up here in the Northwest. It’s a place where we recruit. It’s also exciting for our student-athletes and for our fans and then starting to build a home schedule for years to come as well is important as we strategically try and make sure we’re bringing in teams we can get into Missoula, we’ve got six homes games…It’s certainly an exciting time.”
Although UM hasn’t tossed the pigskin around with Oregon or Washington in recent years, the Griz share a history with both teams as members of the old Pacific Coast Conference from 1924-1950.
The last time the Griz played the Ducks was in 2005, where the Griz took a loss in Eugene 14-47. It was the same story with the Washington Huskies in 1951, where the Griz lost 58-7. But despite past records, Coach Stitt is staying positive.
“You play somebody really good early, it’s helps you. You may not win those games early, but it’s going to help you later down the line. You’ve seen it work for Eastern Washington in our league play some very tough opponents early and then they get into the league and they’ll never see anything better then that so I think it’s very positive for our program,” Stitt said. “It’ll be fun. You don’t get much better than our place. I know we don’t have 80,000, but it’s pretty loud down there, pretty exciting, so I don’t think our kids will be phased at all.”
GoGriz.com said “Haslam expects to announce further home and home agreements with FCS teams in the near future.”
