Hey Emmett! come back and post after you're potty trained... :egriz:

Say what you want. I have respect for BG, but his play is inconsistent at best. The ideal QB for Stitt's offense should be able to run the ball. Can you imagine a true dual threat QB in this offense?
I realize what you are saying, but do you realize how rare that combination is? We are talking an FBS athlete for certain... :egriz:

I'm honestly not trying to be a prick. Stitt can say what he wants, a dual threat QB would thrive in this system.
Watch some film on this kid...

I am not going to begin on speculating on who the qb will be, or how the qb will do next season. I honestly hope Stitt again opens up the competition for the job this spring. I am looking forward to see what Pflug will do as his career plays out.

All the QB's have to improve. Their off season is here right now. Who will it be next season? Right now, Gustafson is the man, but anything can happen in the offseason. Champions are made in the off season.

homegrown, I'm not trying to be a jerk or an insider, but I'm telling you, there is NO 2016 QB competition. Yes, Brady played horrible today, but he is the ONLY clear starter, and that includes Pflug. Also, the pressure threshold thing is a bit weird to say. Considering he made one of the biggest pressure throws in Griz regular season history on 4th down to beat the same Bison team. It's funny how everybody remembers Counts' score, and has already forgotten the throw Brady made on 4th down to Reese Carlson lmafo.

If BG is the best on the roster for game 1 next season then he should get the start. I would expect nothing less! I am 100% behind stitt and this staff and respect their decisions. I believe that the rebuilding process has gone better than anyone expected and that the future of Griz football is in good hands. It will take time.
I hope you're wrong hav.

It is Brady's job to lose....

Bold prediction: Willy P. will not start a game for the U of M. Nothing against the kid, I think Stitt has other plans.

Give his offense an offseason and don't worry about the qb. It will work itself out. Next season will be a lot of fun.

Box, I'm not disagreeing with you. I could Simis also being gone. I don't think he would leave because he's mad, I just think, like most QB's, he would like an opportunity to play. I guess we'll see. I definitely think Chalich is on his way to CC though.

I was not implying that you were...

He is bringing in a 6'7" string bean....maybe he likes really tall/skinny QBS that are zero threat of running

I think it is more about the kid from Auburn Washington..... Gresch Jensen

Not sure if its the offensive scheme or the QB play but there is a serious issue. Main concerns are way too many 1st down running plays but no fullback or tight ends. Seems to me if you are going to have a quick hit passing offense then pass 70% of the time on 1st down. However, the QB needs to be more mobile in this type of offense.

If there is no open competition next year we are in trouble.

No, mafia, you have it wrong, the QB needs to take a 3-step or no step drop, IN THE POCKET, and deliver the ball to the right read, and on time. That is the essence of Stitt's offense. It has nothing to do with the zone read or a running quarterback. So, if you want to say, you'd rather see a different offense, that's fine, but the offense the Griz are running, you are wrong about.

Gus wasn't just off today, he was against CP, and his limited action against Liberty as well. The job should be given to whoever can win an open competition. Stitt should also seek FBS dropdowns too. Based on what I saw from Phlug during the spring, I'm not sure he could beat out Gus, but the notion that Gus has the job locked down without a legitimate competition is ridiculous.

Boscoe, They already had a legitimate competition. Last spring, and fall camp. If you don't think there was a legitimate QB competition, I question whether you were actually at a single spring ball or fall practice.

Willy will push Brady for the starting spot next year. Perhaps you missed it when Stitt said Willy reminds him of the winning QB he had at Mines. I give Brady props but, I do think the ideal player needs to be able to roll out and run the ball up the middle at least a few times a game.

The essence of any offense Is running the ball! Sometimes that requires a ZR offense...
