Fullerton Round 2

EverettGriz said:
I have to think that we're going to begin seeing much more of Steward. I really think the Griz are at their best when he, Cherry and Jamar are on the floor. Certainly the Griz are as athletic as they've ever been with that combo.

Agreed!

Fullerton newspaper take on the game:

Fast start fizzles as CSF routed
By SCOTT FRENCH
... Cal State Fullerton probably can't play much better than it did in the first five minutes Wednesday night against Montana, but things can't get any worse than the 15 minutes that followed.
A nearly perfect start, with the Titans bolting to a quick 12-point advantage, turned perfectly horrific in their final tuneup before Big West play begins next week. Montana coasted to a 71-57 triumph, completing a home-and-home sweep in front of 722 at Titan Gym in a game that wasn't nearly so close.
"(Near the) end of the game I looked up, and it was an 11-point game," said Bob Burton, who suffered his 100th loss (against 127 victories) in seven-plus seasons at Fullerton's helm. "It seemed like it was a 30-point game." The Grizzlies (8-4) outscored Fullerton, 35-8, after falling behind, 14-2, at the start. Their 25-4 run to finish the first half turned a 20-10 deficit into an 11-point halftime lead, and the Titans (4-8) never threatened the rest of the way, even after pulling to 10 points back three times.

CSU-Fullerton was determined to stop Qvale, and they often played a sagging zone to bracket Brian with two defenders. Cherry and Stewart played great games. Cherry played 39 1/2 minutes and only came out for the final half-minute when there were tempers flaring.

Great informative post......thanks guy/gal (seriously). I have been reading Egriz for along time now, and this is the first post, of yours, that has substance and info to it. In addition, you didnt put your self on a pedistal, or bathe and dwell on other posters "credibility".

Then, you obviously haven't been reading egriz much or my posts, because most of my posts are substantive and informative. I almost never post when I don't have good information or don't know what I'm talking about, without indicating that I don't have information or am speculating. The reason I can often say that a post doesn't have credibility is because I have good or inside information, or because I can see in the post that the poster doesn't understand what he's talking about.
 There you go again man! Damn, you stroke your ego way too much dude. I am embarrased for you muchacho. And trust me, I have read a ton of egriz (more that I like to admit), and I am know getting first hand experience as to why most (if not all) dont respect anything you say. You dont go around piping that you have Inside info (On a "d-1 messageboard). I would never expect anybody to believe me if I had any. Give it up man.

So, your credibility from your "inside information" sounds like you got it all from a box score and listened to Mick last night.........good stuff man. It was "substantive and informative", but it wasnt your own info. Dont lie, you were not @ fullerton. You are plagiarizing.
You are correct. Just the facts. No inside info was indicated or mentioned. Why would you bring that up? I watched the game on the Internet, listened on the radio, looked at the stats and part of play by play, and got a report from a guy who was at the game. I rarely mention inside info, except to defend myself from yahoos like yourself who challenge me on what I said. Why don't you just read, or not read, the posts, and spare us all your irrelevant commentary.

Stockton, as well as some of the others, don't have enough stats this year for the stats to be meaningful. Stockton's career stats include more numbers in them and are more meaningful, in my view. He shot 58% from the field his senior year of high school. I go to the games. I see him going after lose balls. I attend some practices. I've watched him shoot. I talk to the coaches. Listening on the radio or watching the Internet far afar is not the same.Sorry, but some of you don't have much credibility with me.

I have no dog in this fight, but am I the only one who sees the irony in this???

I think it's funny that people like you apparently can't see the difference between reporting on who played in a game and when, which are facts and can be determined from reading the play by play, and making judgments about the quality of a player without attending games. Are you guys really that stupid?

So here's an example using your rules. Michael Jordan averaged 28.2 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.9 apg and 196 steals his rookie year (all reported facts). But because the 70+ Bulls games I watched that year weren't in person, I never attended a Bulls practice and didn't converse with Kevin Loughery, I couldn't judge his talent or quality of play??? Now that's funny:lol:

You really can't read or comprehend, can you? I said watching on the Internet is not the same as being there in person. And then you start talking about tv. I assume you know the difference between the Internet and tv. Now I understand why you've put out a bunch of incorrect information about the car ride home from Stocks. You really don't understand what you're saying.

Geezuz! Let it go....

PR how about you learn to use the quote function properly.

Like clockwork, you try to spin it cuz you got caught in a "it's OK for PR, but nobody else" moment. Leave it to you to argue that internet viewing can't provide the viewing experience of TV. Looks like I better cancel that Netflix subscription and sell the SlingBox. Watching from afar is still watching but I don't expect you to admit that because you are NEVER WRONG

And once again in your true form you bring up the biting incident to try and attack my credibility. Just keep flapping your mouth. It must kill you that you didn't have the inside scoop on this issue :o

Sorry to any of you who are tired of bickering in this thread. I'm finished with this one, although it's doubtful that the quote czar is.

Frankly I don't give a shit that your post had nothing to do with basketball either...

I talked directly to two people who were in the car and to the good friend of another one. How many did you talk to? How drunk at the time was the one you got your info from? You are the one who doesn't have all of the info. Also got info from others who gathered info.

Just for the record, my initial post was only about basketball. And then several yahoos, had to start talking about other things.

More to the point, pard, why are you so unbearably and ridiculously up your own ass ALL OF THE TIME?

Further, I sure as hell hope you aren't a lawyer like some of the fellas have been tellin' me, pard. The only reason being is that those poor justices' clerks have to read your blatant assault on received pronunciation. Hell, I don't even tolerate such incoherent blabber from most of my servicemen on expense reports.
