Msu still has a big question mark at quarter back. But out scored nau 35-3 in second half. Defense stepped up in second half as did their offensive line.

The Cats are ranked higher than they deserve, but, who cares? I love reading post like this one - see the first page when griz homers were calling out the Cats as a bad team. Where are you now? You bet, they played a poor, sloppy first half, but the ground and pound won again. That second half was demoralizing for NAU. They couldn't stop the run, even though they knew where it was going - right up the gut. Sound familiar? Cookus goes 26/50 1/1. I'd say the D was pretty good stopping him. NAU runs for 154 as the Cats focus is on stopping the pass. I'll take it. Cat QB's go 12/25 1/1 with a pick six. CATS RUN FOR 343 and take over the game. I'm surprised they were able to come back - but good defense and the ground attack are going to win some games for them this year.

Griz had a great win today and looked great doing it in all phases - hats off to Bobby & Co. Hell, they even ran the ball! We'll want you to be ranked #1 when you arrive in Bozeman in November! Go Cats - Go Griz!

I am here now. Still calling out the Cants. Poor competition and they have not won against a quality opponent yet. Credit to them for winning the schedule placed in front of them. The schedule is beyond their control. Bottom line - they are not a top tier team without a decent QB. End of story

Yet they put up 49 points. You guys make me laugh. It appears the polls do not agree with you.

Earth to felines. Polls me nothing. Pre season chumps does not mean squat. No 18 just beat #3 in convincing fashion. Did the pollsters have that right? Didn’t think so. Cants have a patsy schedule. Be glad and stay on your own board

Asking for a friend, do the cats have any quality wins? I see a team that has a very good defense at times.

Wait. Are you cat fans REALLY happy with that performance? I really didn't expect much chest thumping after that POS. Kind of like the ucd WR dancing and showboating on the sideline while down 4 tuddys in the 4th Q.

Chest pumping? Read my post again. The Cats are ranked higher than they deserve' they played a poor, sloppy first half' Cat QB's go 12/25 1/1 with a pick six' I'm surprised they were able to come back' Chest pumping? Back away from the Courvoisier there, Lady's Man.

You're right. Need more production from qb position before we can compete with the best. But honestly, besides the Griz today which fcs team stands out as dominate this year? I'll say that I'm not seeing anyone as unbeatable if our team continues to improve.

The Cats put up 56 pts last week and 49 today. I think that is good production on offense.

Nice comeback by the cats for the home crowd. But as week in and week out, Cats still
have not played a good FCS team. NAU had an epic collapsed on defense and I stay on record saying the Cats have a VERY soft schedule this year and will get smoked by Sac, Davis and the Griz, and possibly one other game and will be staying home for the post season. Just sayin.

I genuinely enjoyed the second half. That was a 35-3 soul extraction. Even their 3 points wasn't on the D. We fumbled a punt return and gave the ball back on their 35, but then held to a FG (i.e. a stop by the D).

Are there problems? Yes. Are the Cats a very good football team? Yes.

It is. And they did a great job recovering and getting the win today, but mark my words, they’re going to get into a game this year where they need an actual, real, bonafide qb and they’re going to lose...because they don’t have one

It is. And we will dominate most teams with this approach. But we can't be one dimensional against top tier defenses and expect the same production. I think Rovig will get better, but let's not assume we've arrived just yet.

I'll just say this here and say it only once. Fantastic win from the fuzz today and it will turn heads across the country. Statement made.

You do have the Tommy Mellott commit going for you next year. That’s the best QB prospect there since Prukop and McGee. And Padmos - he’s a huge under-appreciated facet of your defense. But you can bet Rob Ash’s hand pressed chinos the day of reckoning is coming Nov 23.

Bobby would have had him doing up/downs on the sideline.

Despite Mellott’s verbal, he went on a visit to UM last weekend. I would be concerned if I was a passing QB that was considering msu’s run first offense and their lack of development in a passing game after 3+ years of Choachy. It will be interesting to see if Mellott remains solid.

If I were a cat fan, I'd be pretty damn happy with pulling that win out. I think they showed that even without a competent QB, they're a pretty good team.

That said, I'm not sure I'd be gloating about it on the message board of my rival that just demolished the #4 team in the country on the road.

Serious....dUMb was losing to a N. Alabama in the 1st half, to a team that has only been a FCS team for 2 years, and you think that's a quality win? Then beat a unranked South Dakota team, another quality win? Don't get me wrong, Norfolk State wasn't a stellar team, but a step up from N. Alabama. The early season rankings skewed, give it a few more weeks. You guys have a fairly easy schedule this year. BTW we haven't had a QB for few years, for what it's worth.

Hey Genius. Norfolk (0-5) lost again. Western Illinois (0-4) lost to NAB by the same margin (11) that they lost to the Cats. NAB (2-3) won this weekend. Two of the games NAB has lost are to Jacksonville and the Griz. South Dakota? They scored more points on Oklahoma that the pity kitties did on Texas Tech. Check the records, then check the records of the rest of the Cats patsy schedule. Then crawl back in your troll hole and let us never hear of you again.
