The touchback on the muffed kickoff was the correct call.

How do you figure, he touches the ball at the 2 it rolls into the endzone and then he kneels that is a safety, it is like a guy picking off the ball in the endzone and coming out and then going back in and kneeling, it is a f***[*] safety!!!

Because he did not have possession of the ball, but of course who cares about the actual rules while on a rant.

It does not matter, he touched the ball at the two yard line on a kickoff which makes it a live ball, so when he recovered it in the end zone and kneeled he took a live ball into his own end zone which would make it a safety. But you go ahead and stay in that box where you end up supporting the Cats!!
