The following Saturday is our Homecoming game against Montana. That's right, MONTANA. October 31st at Providence Park. We have already sold thousands of tickets for the game, with a lot of them going to Montana fans. We all owe it to Coach Barnum and our team to fill Providence Park and be larger and louder than the Griz faithful who will be out in full force.

I'll give them credit for promoting more. My wife works for PSU and I saw one banner on campus! Better than all year last year when there were none!

Happy Homecoming! :thumb:

Local attendance remains to be seen. Portland is a huge soccer town and I hear they host playoff matches Thursday and potentially Sunday. I have been to recent psu games, attendance pales even when compared to high school stuff. Crowd noise favors GRIZ.

I would estimate MSU had 5,000 fans there, more than PSU. I didn't believe it at first but the AD said they allotted 3,000 for MUS and those were all grabbed up and then a bunch more MSU fans got then through other means.

The Griz will pull more PSU fans who feel like it is a mild sort of rivalry. Griz fans should still comfortably outnumber PSU fans.

PSU lists attendance for that game as 8,110. for Western Oregon and North Dakota PSU drew 5,017 & 4,765. Coming off their huge win over UNT I would not believe PSU attendance dropped to 3,000 while MSU drew 5,000 for that game either.

...by selling beer at the game...
...a first time for many griz fans...
...see their first 3rd quarter kickoff...

I was there, and we easily out numbered PSU fans better than 2 to 1.

Halloween may have an impact on attendance. Something about kids, family, and stuff.

Turn off the lights and get to the game.
